Student Worker - Research Fellow Number of Openings: 2 Purpose/Objective of the Role: A local nonprofit is rebranding and is interested in determining how effective this effort is. To gauge whether awareness of the nonprofit's services have increased, they need a baseline measure of awareness. Working with the Community Research Fellows program at OWU, the selected students will design and conduct a market research survey of Delaware residents to glean this information from the community. Tasks & Responsibilities: The Fellow would help design the survey, travel within Delaware County to conduct the survey, analyze the responses, and write a report summarizing the results for the client. Qualifications/Skills: The Fellow must be skilled in interpersonal communication and be able to convince a sufficient number of respondents to complete a brief, in-person survey. The Fellow must be an effective writer and also be able to integrate graphs, figures, and images into a report for the client. Purpose/Objective of the Role: The Bishop Scholars Program seeks energized and committed students to tutor elementary youth in Delaware City Schools, Columbus City Schools, and Columbus Bilingual Academy North for the spring semester, beginning in mid-January. Tutoring days include Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with various tutoring times from approximately 8:15 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. This is a PAID position and all potential tutors must complete an in-person interview, criminal background check, and mandatory training prior to being accepted into the program. We are hiring students for spring semester to serve as Crossing Guards at the ECC Monday thru Friday during the Early Childhood Center's arrival and dismissal times. A portion of the shift will be outdoors, so appropriately dressing for the weather is a must!
