Great Oaks Learning is a growing homeschool hybrid micro-school. We meet four afternoons a week and accept students with any and all learning needs. Most of our students are neurodivergent with differences ranging from dyslexia, ADHD, ASD, anxiety, physical differences and more. A special education background would be a huge benefit. Role Description This is a part-time, on-site role for a Special Education Teacher, located in Smithfield, VA. The teacher will be responsible for teaching students with and without disabilities in a hybrid homeschool micro-school setting (school is for grades 1-10, students are separated by level, not necessarily by age/grade). Day-to-day tasks include adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of students, collaborating with other educators, maintaining open communication with parents/guardians, and monitoring student progress.
