Summary: A teacher aide provides support for teacher clerical duties such as sorting, filing, and copying. In addition, they assist in specific needs of children in the regular classroom, so that all students are able to have access to grade level learning. The assistance includes individual instruction and small group instruction so as to reinforce and enrich students who demonstrate a need for additional interventions in order to meet the needs of each student. The aide to the teacher(s) includes a balance of supporting the delivery of instruction to students, supervising playground activity, and assisting in completing managerial needs of the teacher(s).
Hours: 40 hours per week/8 hours daily
3 days a week: 7:25am - 3:25pm
2 days a week: 9:45am - 5:45pm
Essential Function:
Demonstrates a good ability to verbally follow directions, and use strong written communication.
Skilled in positive interactions with students.
Demonstrates a knowledge of elementary-age behavior and development.
Demonstrates a knowledge of the various clerical tasks within an educational environment.
Setting up and maintaining learning centers
Working one-on-one with students or in small groups. Helping the students who are challenged by the curriculum or processing in the classroom.
Aiding in the decorating of the classroom or event space for special events.
Filing, copying, and grading necessary materials.
Organizing the necessary classroom materials and other displays for instruction.
Making sure the classroom is neat and tidy.
Helping the teacher in posting materials on bulletin boards, and taking inventory of classroom supplies such as books and pencils, etc.
Skilled in managing student behavior and implementing discipline with the students in a biblical manner.
Effective time-management and organizational skills.
Supplemental Function:
Teacher aides will be asked to assist in our aftercare program twice a week unless the duties of the classroom precludes them from arriving after the school day starts.

JOB SUMMARY
An Assistant Teacher is responsible for supporting an Amazing Explorers Academy Lead Teacher with every aspect of managing and supervising a class of children. Qualifications
JOB STANDARDS:
Education: Minimum requirement of High School Diploma or Equivalent. Must enroll at 90 days of hire to complete Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential with 9 months. Once the CDA program is complete must enroll to complete Associate Degree within 2 years.
Experience: No experience required.
Licenses & Certifications: Valid Florida driver's license and be insurable by Company's current insurance
carrier. Subject to federal, state and local legal requirements/background checks.

Physical Requirements: These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Talking, standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, use of fingers, arms, hands, legs, walking, stretching/reaching, handling, grasping, climbing, bending at the waist, turning, balancing, pushing, pulling, use of depth perception, carrying and lifting (up to 65 lbs.), and driving are constant. Good eyesight (correctable) and hearing (correctable) are essential.
Equipment: Computer, facsimile, copy machine, calculator, multi-line phone and other small office and instructional equipment and vehicle.

Office environment and working alone and with others frequently. Working with office equipment is frequent. Occasionally outdoors and operates a vehicle.
