Among student teachers, we discovered that 69.5% of them are women, while 26.3% are men. The most common race/ethnicity among student teachers is White, which makes up 74.0% of all student teachers. Comparatively, there are 11.2% of the Hispanic or Latino ethnicity and 9.5% of the Black or African American ethnicity. The majority of student teachers are located in NY, New York and IL, Chicago.

Student teachers are more likely to work at education companies in comparison to private companies. Taking it a step further, student teachers are more likely to find a job in the education industry. Looking at student teacher statistics, we found was that Maryland, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey are where student teachers find the highest salaries.

From where do we know all information about student teacher demographics? We analyzed 53,278 student teachers resumes to find out what the average demographics are for the job position. Just to be clear, by demographics we mean the study of population-based factors like age, race, and sex. On top of scouring through resumes, we also took note of job proposals from employers and Census Bureau data. And guess what? We found some pretty interesting information.

The most common ethnicity among student teachers is White, which makes up 74.0% of all student teachers. Comparatively, there are 11.2% of the Hispanic or Latino ethnicity and 9.5% of the Black or African American ethnicity.
