Summary
The Parents as Teachers Supervisor provides direct supervision to staff that provide the Parents as Teachers home visiting program. This includes monitoring caseloads, auditing records, training and development of staff, reflective supervision, and troubleshooting issues. The Parents as Teachers Supervisor engages newly referred families, coordinates work with internal and external partners, and carries a small caseload of families.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Prepare and maintain program budget needs, specifically in terms of student educational supplies and equipment, faculty needs, office supplies, and program catering needs. Prepare requisitions, reimbursement requests, and make PCard purchases for the full-time staff of the MSA program. Process guest speaker honorariums. Set up independent contractor agreements. Order and maintain office supplies. Make travel arrangements and prepare travel expense forms for reimbursement. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of university's travel policy. Track expenses on an on-going basis. Consider past requirements and expenditures and analyze program needs on both a short- and long-range basis in order to present a budget plan for each fiscal year. Create application materials such as job shadow application, observer agreement, and confidentiality agreement. Take, prioritize and schedule student shadowing requests; oversee the shadowing day. * Coordinate human resources activities within the program. Interpret, advise and instruct faculty and staff on university, school, and program policies and procedures. Onboard new faculty and staff and orient them to the program and campus. Provide an overview of the program's mission and structure along with information on essential contacts, services and programs available to them as an employee. Onboarding responsibilities include, but are not limited to, setting up workspace/office, providing needed access to program and university systems, reviewing dress code, obtaining ID badge and office key, making introductions. In collaboration with the Special Education Director, Head of School, the Principals, and fellow Special Education Coordinators, the Special Education Coordinator supports the Intervention Specialists for the assigned grade band through roster management, compliance monitoring (document quality, timelines, data collection), provision of Professional Development and training, and observation/feedback. In addition, the Special Education Coordinator supports the creation of appropriate programming for transfer students by collaborating with the enrollment team and prior school to obtain documents and understand student needs. Assists in implementation of Extended School Year program and gathering student data required for state reporting. Makes and implements student centered decisions in accordance with all state laws and regulations. This is a virtual position, but in-office work will be required throughout the year.

Attend relevant trainings offered by county agencies and the department of education to stay current on regulations and best practices
Develop and facilitate professional development and training on varied Special Education topics
Coordinate with enrollment team to understand volume and needs of newly enrolling Special Education students, gather existing documentation, and assign students to IS caseloads
Review all Special Education documents, including IEPs, for compliance and quality and provide feedback and coaching to Intervention Specialists prior to IEP meeting
Act as district representative at IEP meetings
Assist Intervention Specialists with complex parent communications as needed
Monitor Intervention Specialist compliance with timelines and data collection
Observe Intervention Specialists during instructional time with students and provide feedback
Conduct teacher evaluations under the OhioTeacher Evaluation System (OTES 2.0 Certified)
Participate in in the Alternate Assessment decision making process to ensure a student is most appropriately assessed with an alternate assessment.
Serve as a point of contact and manage supplemental program access.
