Job Description We are seeking a passionate and qualified SC 4K Lead Teacher to join our early learning team. This role is ideal for educators dedicated to providing high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction to 4-year-old children in a supportive, engaging classroom environment.
Duties
Plan and implement standards-based, age-appropriate instructional activities in alignment with SC 4K guidelines
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom that promotes children's social, emotional, and academic growth
Conduct ongoing assessments and use data to individualize instruction and monitor progress
Collaborate with teacher assistants and center staff to support student success
Maintain accurate attendance, records, and documentation as required by SC First Steps
Communicate regularly with families to build positive partnerships
Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required)
Must meet South Carolina First Steps SC 4K teacher qualifications
Experience working with preschool-aged children
Strong knowledge of child development and early learning standards
Clear background check and TB test required
Nice To Haves
Nice to have but not required to obtain the position:
SC teacher certification in Early Childhood Education (PreK-3rd)
Experience working in a SC 4K or public preschool setting
Familiarity with Teaching Strategies GOLD or similar assessment tools
