Overview: Responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing a comprehensive ESE program. The ESE Teacher reports to the Special Programs Coordinator or ESE Director. Teacher is directly responsible for program planning and daily supervision of an assigned group of children (15-20) ages 3-5 years. Makes home visits and hold conferences with each family during the school year and provides written progress to parents and maintains confidential files. Attends professional and educational conferences and meetings to keep abreast of educational trends and enhance knowledge and skills. Refers children to appropriate program services, when necessary. Attends parent meetings and community meetings related to the program as necessary. Provides support in the planning and implementation of training for parent meetings and develops activities for parents to do with their child.
