Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety or related construction field.
Must be willing to travel and relocate. Project sites are located domestically and internationally, so relocation and/or travel are required.
Must have 10 years of Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) and at least 2 federal design build projects with total cost of at least $5 million.
Ability to understand and interpret written material, including technical information, rules, regulations, agency rules, and executive orders.
Must be detail-oriented and an effective communicator.
Must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as respirator, and meet the physical demands of the position, such as walking, standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, climbing ladders and stairs, bending, squatting and crawling in tight spaces to safely access work.
A sound knowledge of relevant federal requirements for construction industry.
Completion of 10-hour OSHA training.
Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with OSHA 1926 Construction Industry Regulations.
Ability to speak and understand Spanish.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership for the implementation, enforcement and continuous improvement of Barnard safety policies and processes.
Enforce safe practices with a visible presence on jobsites.
Prepare and review Safety Plans, Accident Prevention Plans and Job Hazard Analyses.
Coordinate drug screening requirements for construction projects.
Develop, coordinate and/or present specific safety training for field employees.
Coordinate the purchase, issuance, adequacy and use of safety equipment (PPE) for field crews.
Develop and coordinate safety forms/policies for use by field crews.
Distribute Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to field crews on routine basis.
Assist with accident investigation/reporting, as needed.
Communicate and interact with field crews daily, with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
Communicate with our clients on a project basis with an emphasis on customer service.
Engage in site safety inspections; coordinate corrections with all contractors.
Track and provide insight into common issues, trends, problems, and opportunities to reduce losses and incident costs; maintain information and performance measurement systems to ensure that loss information is tracked and effectively communicated.
Participate in pre-construction and regular contractor status meetings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Designs and maintains a home-like classroom environment to enhance culturally sensitive learning based on the developmental needs of the children.
Develops curriculum considering the age and experience of the children, reflecting all areas of development including physical, emotional, social, language, and cognitive skills.
Adapts the curriculum and instruction to meet the needs of the individual child's strengths, needs, and interests.
Tracks developmental milestones and shares observations of progress and concerns.
Uses a variety of teaching strategies to encourage learning, following the individual child's lead and preferred modality for learning.
Facilitates interaction and cooperation among the children. Encourages children to lead their own small group activities.
Facilitates a sense of responsibility and self-regulation in children, intervening only when necessary in settling disputes or differences.
Establishes partnerships with parents and families in order to achieve shared goals for children.
Works collaboratively with the Director, colleagues and community organizations in best serving the child's needs.
Provides instruction and leadership for teaching assistants.
Participates in the process of ongoing professional development and meetings. Maintains comprehensive communication among all contacts within the agency, members, and external agencies. Requirements
Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education, or Child Development; or unrelated Associate's degree or higher with 36 units of higher education credits in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education, or Child Development; or a state certification to practice as a teacher in a public school, and the certification is reflective of the age of the children served required. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Regulatory
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Current, unrestricted AZ driver's license with no more than two (2) minor moving violations or one (1) accident within the past three (3 years). Three (3) years of driving experience required.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Ability to obtain and maintain an AZ DPS Level 1 fingerprint clearance card (employer provides).
CPR and First Aid certification (Employer provides).
Initial and current negative TB test result (employer provides).
Physical exam may be required depending on location or licensing requirements (employer provides).

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation): Normal childcare and classroom environment with multiple interruptions in person. High activity environment with children and parent interactions. Able to lift up to 50 lbs to support children in care. Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms, and to assess the wellbeing of the children. Able to speak clearly in conversations, general communications and to communicate verbally with children and emergency personnel as needed for daily operations. Certified Classroom Teachers play a vital role in helping our students achieve AAED's mission of assisting every student with autism to be equipped and able to achieve academic, social, and behavioral excellence in an environment centered on strong character values. Teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs), provide direct instruction, and support students in the classroom, on the playground, and in the community.
Manage educational programming for students in the classroom.
Provide whole and small group instruction and create lesson plans using AAED approved curriculum.
Maintain a positive environment to encourage the personal, social, and academic growth of all students.
Collect, analyze, and report data in a meaningful manner on student goals.
Celebrate the achievements and successes of each student with staff and parents.
Direct and collaborate with instructional assistants/aides to support lessons and all student needs.
