Function: PASS tutors are motivated to help their peers be successful by learning how to learn and provide peer academic support to students in a variety of courses in turn, helping to shape students' experience at Palmer College of Chiropractic. The Palmer Academic Support Services (PASS) Drop-In Tutor is responsible for helping Palmer students in small groups or individually in D.C. academic courses. PASS Drop-In Tutors not only assist with the understanding of class materials, but also assist students in strengthening academic memory retention, comprehending the textbook, organizing assignments, and improving general learning and study skills. Students selected as Drop-In Tutors must meet and maintain certain qualifications to be part of the PASS program and are considered employees of the department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Attend the mandatory New Tutor Orientation at the beginning of employment. • Tutors will attend meetings periodically as a team and individually with the Coordinator of the PASS program and/or director of Academic Support Services. • Tutors contract for a specific number of hours per trimester based upon their schedule and availability. Job Description KE Camps is the leading provider of summer camps for country clubs nationwide. We partner with over 230 private clubs all over the country to implement traditional-style day camps for elementary-aged children. Our Camp Counselor positions have the potential to serve as competitively paid internships that meet your course credit needs. First and foremost, your primary responsibilities will be as a Camp Counselor. As a Camp Counselor, you will be an active participant in all camp activities and will assist your Camp Director with a variety of daily tasks, all with the goal of creating a memorable and meaningful camp experience for your campers. Our Counselors interact with our campers throughout the entire day, helping them make friends, try new things, and generally caring for their well-being. Qualifications and Preferred Skills: Must be in good academic standing within Palmer College of Chiropractic. Exhibit passion for the future of the chiropractic profession and moving it forward. A business background is not required for the Business Ambassador position, however, a keen interest in learning best practices in business and entrepreneurship is necessary. Exhibit a strong desire to connect with and provide support to other students. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience planning and implementing programs and events is preferred but not required. An entrepreneurial, creative and outside-the-box mindset is valued. The ability to attend & participate in traditional and annual University events that include New Student Orientation, Experience Palmer, Palmer 360, Homecoming, Career & Association Fairs, etc.) on a consistent rotation with other Business Ambassadors is important.
