The UAS Student Worker will consistently collaborate with and support the School of Aeronautics department, students, and employees with various tasks involving the UAS program. The overall purpose of this position is to properly manage the LUSOA UAS fleet, while assisting instructors and students involved in the UAS flight courses. This position will support the School of Aeronautics and associated personnel with the following functions: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Utilizing company computers and software to "check-in," "ramp-out," and "ramp-in" UAS activities. 2. Assisting UAS instructors and operators with editing their scheduled lessons. 3. Communicating via radio with UAS Operations 4. Reviewing UAS operations requests, ensuring compliance, and that the proper equipment and personnel are on the operation. 5. Exercising quality teamwork by informing co-workers of any changes or concerns that may affect operations. 6. Answering and appropriately responding to phone calls. 7. Recovering materials from returning crews. 8. Scheduling and planning UAS operations 9. Monitoring LUSOA UAS that are deployed. 10. Maintaining awareness of current weather and operational conditions. 11. Resolving crew issues, whether in the air or on the ground. QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS Minimum Qualifications: 1. Eligibility for Federal Work Study. 2. Eligibility for a TSA-approved airport badge. 3. Basic computer skills. 4. English proficiency. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Part 107 certificate 2. Previous customer service experience. 3. Previous UAS experience 4. Current Liberty University School of Aeronautics student (though all majors welcome). 5. Job Description Hours: full-time (37.5 hours per week) Compensation dependent on experience The MST Clinician provides Multi-systemic therapy (MST) in home and community settings for youth ages 11-17 who have received referral for the treatment of behavioral or emotional problems by the juvenile justice, behavioral health, school, or child welfare systems.
