Your Job as a Substance Use Counselor:
The Substance Use Counselor is instrumental in our patients' treatment and recovery from opioid use disorder. Substance Use Counselors provide high-quality, compassionate care through various mediums, which include both individual and group counseling sessions.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in both individual and group counseling sessions.
Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient's recovery.
Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions as needed.
Ensure all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents is completed timely and in a clear, concise manner.
Prepare individual treatment plans for each assigned patient.
Initial assessments as well as follow up assessments.
Evaluate patient needs and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are needed.
May plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
Provide crisis intervention to patients, as needed.
Provide case management duties for patients, ensuring individualized quality care as needed.
Act as a liaison between referral sources and patients, as needed.

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university required.
Prefer Bachelor's or Master's degree in social or health services field from an accredited college or university.
Previous experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings, such as outpatient, residential, or correctional facilities.
* Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.
* Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions focused on substance use recovery.
* Knowledge of evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and relapse prevention techniques.
* Documentation experience, including maintaining clinical notes, treatment plans, and progress updates in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
* Familiarity with state regulatory standards (e.g., 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, Joint Commission standards).
* Experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary team with medical staff, case managers, and peer support specialists.
Licenses/Certifications:
* LADC or LCHMC preferred, not required

· Plans for aftercare for assigned clients.
· Acts as a liaison with insurance carriers, as requested.
· Provides case management duties for clients, ensuring individualized quality care.
· Evaluates the need of the client and determines if referrals to other programs or facilities is needed.
· Provides client and family education relative to substance abuse/psychiatric problems.
· Conducts educational workshops both within the Facility and in the community as required.
· Serves as a liaison with self-help groups and EAP professionals.
· Conducts ongoing assessments of chemical dependence services required by the Facility treatment programs.
· Bachelor's degree in social or health services field required.
NH Regulatory Summary
RSA 330-C:17 (Licensing Required) states that no individual may engage in the practice of alcohol and drug counseling unless they are licensed or working under an approved supervision agreement recognized by the NH Board of Licensing for Alcohol and Other Drug Use Professionals.
Alc 404.03 (Supervision of Interns and License-Eligible Candidates) requires that anyone providing substance use or mental health counseling under supervision must be registered as an intern or license-eligible candidate with the Board prior to any direct client interaction
· Experience in counseling field instruction/internship or similar practicum through education or certification process required.
· Licensure or certification for counseling, as required by the state in which the facility operates; OR state license or certification eligible within the timeframe designated by the facility.
· CPR and de-escalation certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
· First aid may be required based on state or facility

Overview: We are excited to offer a Spring 2026 Work Instruction Internship opportunity. Our internships are designed to provide students with meaningful, real-work experience in their chosen field, helping to develop the skills necessary for a successful career. Interns will work closely with mentors to gain exposure to a fast-paced, innovative manufacturing environment.
The Work Instruction Intern performs the following essential functions:
Develop and maintain clear, accurate work instructions by collaboration with subject matter experts, and Quality Analysts, creating new documentation where gaps exist and standardizing or revising existing materials
Develop proficiency in relevant EIM systems and tools (LabelTraxx, Bartender, Illustrate, etc.) to support documentation activities
Ensure all work instructions align with organizational standards, formatting guidelines, and process accuracy requirements
