About the Position
We are looking for a Residential Associate to join our team at our Columbia Rose RTF program in Portland, Oregon! Residential Associates work as members of a direct care team serving adults with serious mental illness. Their primary responsibilities include supporting the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions, performing housekeeping and meal preparation, administering medication, and keeping accurate clinical documentation. If you have experience working as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA), Direct Support Professional (DSP), Residential Assistant (RA), Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or Caregiving for a client with behavioral health needs, then this position may be a great fit for you!
Vocational Training Program
For applicants starting as a QMHA-R, ColumbiaCare offers a Vocational Training Program to accelerate the training, on-the-job experiential learning, and testing preparation for qualified employees to achieve the 1000 supervised hours required to complete their certification as a QMHA-I. Through this program, this certification can be achieved in as little as 6 months. This is an optional program.

About the Program
Columbia Rose (est. 2006) is a 9-bed, licensed Residential Treatment Facility serving individuals with mental illness. Residential care is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by a trained and caring staff headed by a Registered Nurse and a Qualified Mental Health Professional.

What You'll Need
Must be eligible for Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) registration. Eligibility requires 1 out of 3 Criteria below:
Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field;
OR minimum three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs in a supervised setting;
OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental behavioral health experience and training
If not already registered as a QMHA through the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO), we will assist you in registering within 30 days of hire.
Vocational Training Program: Employees in the optional Vocational Training Program will have additional training expectations to meet the requirements for QMHA testing.
Driving is an essential function of this position. Successful applicants must provide a valid driver's license from their state of residence or obtain and submit one within 30 days of hire, maintain a safe driving record, and have the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.

Under direct supervision, primarily provides general administrative support for a project, team, or work unit. Similar to an Office Clerk or Specialist. May also include some basic data entry and report generation. Being an OHSU Undergraduate student is required.
Function/Duties of Position
Admissions Support:
* Assist with data entry, managing application documents, and updating student records.
* Provide customer service via email, phone, and in-person, answering questions about admissions processes.
* Help coordinate campus tours and information sessions for prospective students.
* Assist in preparing admissions packets and materials.
* Help maintain and organize admissions files and databases.
* Support the Admissions team during recruitment events, such as open houses and orientations.
Social Media Management
* Create and curate content for the school's social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) including but not limited to:
* Assist in drafting posts
* Brainstorming content and strategies to increase engagement
* Taking photos and videos to share with Admissions Communications Manager to post
* Meet regularly online with Admissions Communications Manager and other student workers to brainstorm ideas and plan content
* Work with Admissions Communications Manager to manage the content calendar and ensure regular posting
* Coordinate with other nursing students to represent the "student experience" on social channels.
* Represent campus at events/activities to gather photo and video content (may include occasional evenings and weekends)
Required Qualifications
* An OHSU Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours)
* Computer and software experience which includes MS Word, Excel, e-mail, web-site search tools and internet skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Creativity and familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) and basic content creation
* Have access to mobile device to take photos and videos and ability to upload materials to OneDrive for Admissions Communications Manager to access
* Ability to handle confidential information and maintain privacy
* Organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Previous experience in admissions or social media
* General office experience
* High level of organization and prioritization skills
* strong public relations and customer service skills
* Ability to work cooperatively with academic, unclassified management and classified personnel
* Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
* Experience creating web content
