Job Description
The Associated Students of the University of Nevada (ASUN) is made up of every undergraduate student at the University of Nevada. ASUN provides a means for students to voice concerns and address issues at the university, local, state, national and international levels.
Responsibilities
The duties of the Director of Government Affairs are as follows:
The Director shall provide non-partisan advice to the President, and frame recommendations for the President to advance student interests.
The Director shall coordinate with the Director of Governmental Relations for the University of Nevada.
The Director may delegate any of the Director's functions to any other officer, employee or organizational unit of the Department. All other officers shall be appointed by the Director.
The Director must attend all Committee on Democratic Civic Engagement meetings or must designate the Assistant Director to attend in their absence.
The Director shall present a new appointment to the Senate within the following two weeks of said committee or Senate meeting if an executive appointment is reported unfavorably by the Senate Committee on Oversight or if an appointee is not passed by the Senate or if the Director is unable to find a qualified candidate within those two weeks, the Director must present to the Committee on Oversight and explain the circumstances.
The Director shall act as President if, because of death, resignation, removal from office, inability, or failure to qualify, there is no President, Vice President, Speaker of the Senate, Director of Clubs and Organizations, Director of Programming, Attorney General or Director of Public and Campus Relations to act as President.
To have a report read or spoken into the record at minimum every other Senate meeting.

Our programs provide outpatient behavioral health services-including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), case management, and education services-for individuals with mental health and substance use challenges. We use a harm-reduction approach and focus on serving marginalized and underserved communities.
The Opportunity
As a DUI Counselor, you will provide education, counseling, and support services to individuals participating in court-mandated or DMV-referred Driving Under the Influence (DUI) programs. You will facilitate group and individual counseling sessions, maintain compliance with California Code of Regulations Title 9, and help clients meet the legal and behavioral health requirements necessary for program completion.
You'll play a key role in fostering accountability and recovery, helping participants understand the impact of substance use on driving safety and supporting behavior change through evidence-based interventions. You'll also collaborate with program leadership and state/county partners to ensure documentation, reporting, and client progress tracking meet all regulatory requirements.
This role is part-time and reports to the Program Manager. The position may include evening or weekend hours to accommodate class schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate DUI education and counseling groups using approved curricula that address substance use, driving risks, and relapse prevention.
Conduct individual counseling sessions and client check-ins in accordance with Title 9 requirements and program phase timelines.
Complete all intake, orientation, and exit interviews, ensuring participants understand program rules and expectations.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and other tracking systems.
Monitor participant attendance, progress, and compliance with DMV and court orders.
Prepare and submit all required progress reports, completion certificates, and re-enrollment documents.
Uphold ethical and professional standards consistent with DHCS, DMC-ODS, and agency policy.
Requirements
Need to Have:
Certified or registered as a CADC-I, CADC-II, or equivalent AOD counselor credential recognized by DHCS.
Knowledge of Title 9 DUI Program regulations and documentation requirements.
At least 1 year of experience providing substance use counseling services, preferably in a DUI or outpatient setting.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Nice to Have:
Experience working with court-referred populations or community corrections programs.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.

The job of a “Group Meeting Facilitator” is more of the "conductor" than a participant throughout the Program Period. The ProSidian Group Meeting Facilitator shall serve as a consultant to clients across private companies, fortune 1,000 enterprises, and government agencies of all sizes. You direct the flow and energy throughout the program period. When desired, and as needed, introduce dialog, decision-making, and other communication models and tools as part of the agenda or as just-in-time training to enhance the process and achieve desired results.
Client Conference/Program Participation - select appropriate methods and tools that will enable participants to achieve results. Listen and proactively respond to client and stakeholder intentions and desires to enhance the process and achieve desired results. Post-Event Hot Wash / After-Action Analysis / After Action Reports - after the session is over, a complete report describing everything that went on in group meetings and/or project/taskforce initiatives shall be prepared. An organized debrief post-meeting and provide post-meeting feedback session held to provide suggestions and improvements for future meetings. All action items agreed to by the participants are documented as part of this report.
Public Involvement And Communications - foster collaboration and communication through open, ongoing and effective maintenance of knowledge repositories to include correspondence, presentations, meeting summaries, work products, and responses to information requests by ensuring distribution of requested information.
Document Retention And Knowledge Repositories - live capture of meeting discussion/decisions in Microsoft word or excel is also expected. Maintain a library per established guidelines as a repository of related information co-located with the clients, program leadership, sub-group chairs, meeting participants, and other stakeholders as the official record required (i.e. Per Federal Advisory Committee Act - FACA) for an information repository.

Qualifications
A graduate of a master's program in social work (MSW) accredited by the Council on Social Work Education OR A graduate of a bachelor's program in social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Meets personnel qualifications stated in §418.114(b)(3).
Minimum of one (1) years' experience in health care, hospice experience preferred. Understands hospice philosophy, and issues of death/dying.
Experience in a hospice care preferred.
