Position Summary
MHTN is seeking a multitalented Studio Assistant (aka Runner / Lab Technician) to perform tasks essential to the daily operations of the MHTN Studio with an emphasis on The Lab, aka makerspace within the studio. The ideal candidate will enjoy the variety of skills needed to excel in this role. No one day is like another! This role will have the opportunity to work with all teams within MHTN and will gain knowledge of a company committed to Empowerment and Teamwork.
The Runner/ Lab Technician assists with studio support tasks and errands. This includes scheduling fleet vehicle maintenance and driving vehicles to appointments. This position also plays a key role in supporting the operations of The Lab space including, but not limited to 3D model making, wood working, and laser printing. This is a great opportunity to share established skills and learn new ones in an encouraging and forward-thinking environment.
Other key contributions of the Runner/ Lab Technician include collating and distributing mail and packages. Setting up and arranging studio spaces in preparation for trainings, client meetings, and other events as needed. Tracking inventory of office supplies and ordering new supplies and keeping everyone well fed by tracking and ordering inventory of food and beverage items for the café. Occasional shopping or off-site food pick up will be required. This position provides light cleaning of the café and maintains the weekly recycling and composting program: ensuring bins are sorted and emptied appropriately.
This position provides back up support to the Receptionist position and aids the Marketing Department in the preparation of marketing materials, when needed. In short, this position has a hand in all areas of the firm and should be flexible in taking on other duties as assigned.
