Responsibilities
This is an administrative and professional staff position. The Studio Art 2D Studio Manager will support the Studio Art faculty/curriculum by managing classrooms and supplies in printmaking, drawing, painting, and design, while teaching one course a semester in foundational 2D skills. Working in tandem with faculty and staff, the incumbent will oversee the inventory, ordering, stocking, and distribution of art supplies for the department's 2D curricular area. They will be responsible for offering direct support to studio art faculty, performing regular studio maintenance, completing special classroom projects, overseeing classroom preparation between semesters, and managing a small departmental store. This position will work closely with the staff and faculty to oversee the Studio Art 2D facilities, communicate infrastructural needs related to facilities and equipment, manage/record SDS material files, ensure the facilities are in compliance with all procedural and legal safety requirements. The 2D Studio Manager will be part of a team that includes similar staff in the department's 3D and 4D curricular areas, so the incumbent must demonstrate teamwork and general interdisciplinary art knowledge. The 2D Studio Manager will be in regular contact with Studio Art faculty to remain fluidly engaged with the coursework taking place in 2D classes, and to assist with equipment, material, and space management related to those classes. This position includes teaching one course per semester in the foundational 2D curriculum, as well as hiring, training, managing, and scheduling both external figure models and student workers.
Essential Job Functions
The 2D Studio Manager will work closely with faculty, staff, and fellow studio managers to oversee the operations, safety, and instructional support of the Studio Art 2D areas.
● Manage 2D Studio budgets in coordination with the Studio Art Operations and Capital Budgets, including short- and long-term planning.
● Research cost-effective supplies, place orders via ObieBuy, receive/organize materials, and prepare faculty-requested student supply kits.
● Ensure OSHA/CAA safety compliance across 2D classrooms; maintain repair records, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) files, and safe handling of chemicals/hazardous materials.
● Oversee semester transitions: classroom shutdowns, cleaning, restocking, and ensuring equipment readiness.
● Manage and stock shared supplies, tools, chemistry, and demonstration materials.
● Supervise day-to-day classroom operations, including safety, cleanliness, materials, and equipment.
● Operate and manage the departmental supply store: order and stock materials, maintain inventory, track purchases, oversee budgets, and coordinate loanable 2D tools (must be able to lift up to 50 lbs).
● Train and supervise students and lab monitors in safe use of equipment (presses, hotplates, plate shears, exposure units, cutters, carving tools, chemicals, etc.).

● Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students; collaborate on shared projects and administrative tasks.
● Provide weekly area reports and participate in department meetings.
● Teach four credits per semester in the introductory 2D curriculum.
● Support occasional after-hours departmental events.

The Opportunity
As part of the Payer Operations team you will set the vision and strategic roadmap for technology and AI-enabled payer operations across core value chain functions. As a Director you will drive business growth by leading large, complex consulting engagements, delivering excellence, and acting as a trusted advisor to payer executives on operational transformation and AI adoption.

The salary range for this position is: $155,000 - $410,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
