2011

The pilot entailed giving away almost $250,000 worth of free tutoring to study student outcomes from online tutoring, and at its conclusion the founders were thrilled to find that the online students earned nearly identical score improvements to their face-to-face counterparts. Based on its success with face-to-face tutoring, in late 2011 the company developed an innovative model for delivering one-to-one online tutoring.

2012

After years of exploration and thinking, the company launched a pilot to study the efficacy of its programs when delivered online. As a result of this successful pilot, the company launched online tutoring to students across the country in 2012, and today serves thousands of students nationally and internationally via its online tutoring programs.
