Job Summary:
As an essential member of an interdisciplinary team, the Crisis Counselor (Licensed) works with individuals and their families to perform emergency crisis mental health assessments of clients whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness, behavior disturbances, substanceabuse issues, acute suicidality, homicidally, or the inability to function or maintain in the community due to mental illness. • Provides comprehensive telehealth and in-person crisis assessments, de-escalation, triage and intervention at various locations, both within the organization and the community. Assesses client's behavioral status and provides evidence-based intervention strategies to include discharge planning and connecting to outpatient care.
• Provides effective diagnostic assessments to include psycho-social history, diagnostic justification and conceptualization of client needs to drive treatment planning and quality of care.
• Coordinates with various medical providers, family supports and additional service providers to determine client disposition, including collateral contact and determining plan for higher level of care as needed.
• Supplies client, family members and/or caregivers with appropriate community and/or organization resources. • Serves as a crisis consultation with other Diversus Health providers as appropriate.

MST (Multisystemic Therapy) is a scientifically proven treatment model that targets youth 12-17 who are exhibiting delinquent-type behaviors such as running away, substance use, defiance, aggression, and truancy. What does an MST therapist do?
