For Serious Injury (SI) Cases: Follows up with Records Clerk in order to obtain the police report, establishes liability, requests the policy limits of the defendant, obtains the client declarations page, obtains any important evidence (i.e. PD photos, injury photos, videos, witness statements, etc.) - For Pre-Procedure Evaluations: Drafts the PPE questionnaire, obtains the reports, bills and estimated cost or each procedure, obtains the defendant's policy limits, runs and ISO on the client, and provides all information to the Lead Attorney for their review. For surgery evaluations runs a Criminal Background Check (CBC). -Contacts client to over the ISO and/or CBC with client to confirm the information and/or obtain any pre-ret treatment regarding any previous accidents. Adds a note regarding the ISO/CBC review. -CM will obtain medical provider full contact information, prior attorney information and provide this to their respective RC for cases where there are pre-existing accidents as they will request the records. Consults and advises clients regarding loss wages claims and credit issues. Resolves problems. Consults with Pre-Lit Manager regarding claims process and special, unusual, or complex circumstances. As required and under the direction of an attorney, assists in the negotiation process for a client's case (case by case) Seeks opportunities for clients to submit favorable online reviews about their experience with the firm. What You'll Do: Conduct intake with all beneficiaries, including CalOMS forms, consent forms, ROI, and assessments, as well as orientation to the program Manage bed assignments Maintain documentation in the beneficiary record, which includes intake notes, updated case notes, discharge notes, and shift reports Oversee the self-administration of medication Receive briefing from prior shift personnel on recent developments Observe and report beneficiary behavior to case managers and document in the beneficiary chart as well as shift report in HER Ensure beneficiaries attend all meetings and groups if physically able Conduct walk-throughs of facility and beneficiary rooms every 30 minutes and provide documentation of walkthrough Knowledgeable of Confidentiality laws, policies, and procedures Answer telephones and become knowledgeable about referral procedures Monitor and record vitals of withdrawal management beneficiaries as instructed, as well as conduct 30-minute close watch observation and document in the beneficiary record Complete continuing education and trainings as required by Cedar House, County, and State mandates Provide transportation of beneficiaries as needed Maintain a professional demeanor at all times Perform other duties as assigned or required Requirements: What You'll Bring: Understanding of the nature of alcohol/drug addiction and the recovery process Completed twelve years of education or have a GED Agree to enroll and complete a drug studies certificate program Will have 5 years to become certified or must be registered upon hire under an accredited drug and alcohol certification program Ability to address stressful situations in a calm manner and be able to communicate in a positive way Maintain current Adult CPR/First Aid/AED Maintain current certification and/or registration with CAADE or CCAPP Ability to work with diverse groups of people Resourcefulness and strong problem-solving skills Driving Requirements Hold a valid California Driver's License Four years of driving experience Must be at least 21 years of age No more than one at-fault accidents in the last three years No more than three moving violations in the last three years No major violation in the last 3 years CULTURAL COMPETENCIES Uncompromising integrity and ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality.
