He/she assists with making phone calls to families referred for behavioral health services to monitor follow up/engagement with keeping of appointments. At times, he/she may provide in-person support and coordination of care. He/she attends community-based family related coordination meetings such as local System of Care community collaborative meetings. The VSC assists students in building job readiness, interviewing, and professional social skills and provides on-site support and supervision at employment sites. This role helps facilitate vocational classroom activities, transports students to work-related appointments, monitors performance, and fosters independence. Provide direct student care following the prescribed Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP). Collect and record data on observable student behavior. Participate in the upkeep of student graphs and graphing systems via graphing software or other visual display. Prepare student materials for the school day (preparing student workspace, and classroom, obtaining required materials for the day, etc.). Accompany students on community outings and/or vocational placements as specified by student's programming. Apply all MBS safety procedures when transporting or working with students. May include physical management, environmental awareness, maintaining line of sight supervision, using and wearing PPE etc. Properly wear PPE, attend all training related to PPE and follow all safety procedures and requirements with or without accommodation. Maintain dignity, confidentiality & professionalism with students while adhering to policy and protocols. Participate in MBS assigned trainings - in person, synchronous, asynchronous or remote. Maintain open and ongoing communication, including e-mail communication. Complete other tasks as assigned. The minimum qualifications and requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in the implementation of behavioral assessment/treatment programs with the developmentally disabled population is highly preferred. A basic knowledge of computer systems, applicable software and proficiency with e-mail communication. Good organizational, multitasking, and communication skills (oral and written). Ability to follow all safety procedures and requirements. Physical Requirements: Must be able to physically care for young children/adolescents/teenagers, with and without the assistance of one or more designated individuals. Must have the physical ability to bend at the waist (up to 45 degrees), twist, and move independently between standing and kneeling positions. Requires the ability to firmly grasp objects and raise hands overhead. Must be able to engage in sustained physical activity such as walking, running, and shuffling in multiple directions (including backward) for several minutes. Ability to routinely and safely perform heavy to very heavy physical tasks associated with “hands-on” student management, including during emergency situations or when responding to aggressive behavior. Must be capable of learning and correctly demonstrating multi-step physical procedures/maneuvers to manage students independently or as part of a coordinated team. Maintain clear and concise model adherent documentation of sessions and collateral contacts that promote monthly supervisory review; documents all contact, collateral notes, sessions, and treatment plans in Care4 database within 2 business days. Collaborate with foster and adoptive parents as members of the team to protect and nurture children and strengthen families. In collaboration with the team make decisions regarding permanency plans for children based on assessed strengths and needs. Identify and coordinate the activities of multiple service providers. Prepare reports and act as an agent of the agency with the court system. Plan for termination of agency services. Education / Experience/Other Requirements: Master's Degree in Social Work or related field required. Clinical Licensure (LMSW/LCP/LMFT) preferred or must be license eligible and working towards licensure. Three years experience in child welfare preferred. Must maintain a valid driver's license.
