Day in the Life of a Substance Abuse Counselor
• Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients
• Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient's treatment needs
• Designs and updates the patient's treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning
• Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements
• Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services

Schedule and Hours
Our clinical team enjoys an early morning schedule with early afternoon out times. It is expected for all clinical team members to participate in our Saturday rotation. The frequency of this rotation is determined by the current staff count. Expected hours for this role are 37-40 hours per week.
4:45 AM - 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday
6:00 AM - 8:00 AM, rotating Saturdays
Education and Experience requirements
General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
Lived addiction experience is a plus.
No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program.

The Choices Mobile Crisis Response Team is responsible for 24/7 mobile emergency responses for individuals experiencing an emotional, behavioral, and/or mental health crisis in Preble and Montgomery Ohio Counties. The Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist (QBHS) is a full-time position (40 hours/week) operating during scheduled shifts. The QBHS provides crisis response as part of a team and has understanding of either mental illness or substance use disorder treatment and recovery as well as crisis response procedures, de-escalation techniques and how the individual's own behavior can impact the behavior of others. The incumbent is also aware of the functioning of relevant healthcare systems and how to engage therapeutically with a person with mental illness or a person in substance use disorder treatment and recovery. The QBHS operates from a strengths-based perspective, collaborating with Choices' Crisis Team, clinical leadership, and fellow responders. The QBHS performs a wide range of tasks to assist individuals in regaining optimal functioning within the community and mastery over their own recovery process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Can articulate the mission, vision and services provided by Choices and the Mobile Response Team and partners.

Kids Thrive is currently recruiting a Mental Health Technician (MHT) to serve as a center or school-based Group Facilitator. Kids Thrive is a pediatric day treatment program serving children ages 3 to 10 with expanding services across Ohio. THE ROLE
The Group Facilitator is responsible for leading groups and supporting the therapeutic milieu under the direction of the Clinical Director while ensuring that the schedule/program is consistently delivered, clients are supervised, safety is maintained, and clients and families are treated with respect and dignity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school degree or degree from an accredited college. Combination of education and relevant work experience may be required
Experience: Previous experience in a mental health or education setting with young children, with direct experience working with children with mental health or significant behaviors difficulties.
Additional Requirements: CPR certification and Handle With Care (HWC) within 30 days of employment. Completion of additional mental health training within 30 days of employment. Must be at least 18 years of age. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing day treatment group services
Assists therapist and other providers with daily program delivery
Completes daily clinical documentation of provided services
Collects all necessary information for quality and program performance measures
Responsible for scheduling regular treatment team meetings and transition/discharge meetings when applicable
Consistently collaborates with parent/guardians and other members of the treatment team
Completion of all required educational and training course
