About the position:
This position is a direct service role that works directly with children in our care. Youth Engagement Specialists are responsible for helping children accomplish day to day tasks, make progress toward their behavior treatment goals, and working alongside a clinical team of therapists and behavior specialists to ensure kids are progressing through our treatment program.
Job Function:
The ideal candidate for the position of Youth Engagement Specialist is someone who displays an intense passion for helping children and young adults reach their full potential. This person should bring a heightened level of empathy, kindness, and patience to their work. They should be excited at the opportunity to work with children, committed to regularly engaging and interacting with our clients (sharing in their interests, hobbies, sports, etc.), and passionate about being a positive role model for the children in our care.
This position requires candidates to have a valid driver's license and a personal, insured vehicle at all times in order to transport children to and from activities.
This position requires candidates to sometimes work holidays and weekends.
This position requires candidates to be available for second shift (3 PM - 11 PM).
This position requires candidates to complete mandatory trainings during first shift (8 AM- 4 PM), especially during the first month of employment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in social services or a bachelor's degree in any other field with 2 years' experience in a clinical mental health human services facility OR high school diploma with 5 years' experience in a clinical mental health or human services facility.
Must have a valid Illinois driver's license & vehicle.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Experience working with children who have experience trauma in the form of neglect, abuse, sexual violence, etc.
Ability to implement de-escalation trainings including physical restraint when necessary (training provided upon hire).
Physical and emotional stamina to effectively handle job related issues and stress.
Pass and be able to practice TCI and restraining measures as needed.

Responsibilities
* Complete all required documentation and data entry in accordance with agency and program standards, including but not limited to LOCUS, IM-CANS, HRA/PHA, and progress notes. - Ensure 100% of IM-CANS are completed prior to due dates. - Submit progress notes and other required paperwork within 48 hours of service delivery.
* Provide services identified in the IM-CANS to meet consumer needs and program requirements, including: - Maintaining required service levels and timely completion of authorizations. - Delivering clinical services such as community support, case management, therapy, and medication training. - Supporting a clean, safe, and healthy living environment for residents. - Providing services in the most effective setting, including consumers' apartments or community locations. - Linking consumers to additional clinical and community resources as needed. - Completing clinical screenings of new tenant housing referrals when assigned.
* Promote the recovery model of treatment by assisting consumers in achieving self-directed recovery and incorporating trauma-informed care principles such as hope, empowerment, and respect.
* Maintain positive relationships within Chestnut and with community partners including hospitals, courts, medical offices, and social service agencies to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
* Complete and maintain accurate documentation to meet housing funder requirements, including attendance and census tracking.
* Provide referrals, advocacy, and linkage to essential community resources such as healthcare, food, financial aid, and housing supports.
* Participate in meetings, case staffings, and program development activities. Provide backup and support to other team members as needed. - Attend 100% of required supervision (Rule 132) if not an LPHA. - Complete all mandatory Chestnut trainings and continuing education requirements through Relias.

Our ABA department is growing, and we would love to have you join us! We are a clinic-based pediatric facility that provides high-quality ABA therapy to clients with challenging behavior. Therapists in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) aim to reduce challenging behaviors and teach replacement skills to clients with autism spectrum disorders under the direct supervision of BCBAs. Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBAs) are masters-level clinicians that complete initial assessments, design treatment protocols, and provide ongoing training to behavior technicians throughout a client's therapy journey.
Our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) provide direct therapy to children using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to improve the lives of children and their families. A day in the life of an RBT might look like:
Consistent, block scheduling that allows you to see 2-3 clients per day with no more than 2.5 hours with each client
1 hour lunch and 1 hour of “documentation” time daily for full-time staff
Implement therapy with a wide range of clients, typically aged 3-16 in 1:1, group, home, or community settings
Teach your clients important skills including ready-to-learn, play, functional living, communication and social skills
Follow detailed behavior intervention plans written by board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs) to help reduce challenging behavior and increase replacement skills
Collect data on the programs and behavior plans implemented with your clients in order to assist with evidence-based decision-making
Create materials for clients as needed
Communicate with families before and after therapy sessions
Upon hiring, an RBT certification is not necessary. Training via online video modules, role-playing with other RBTs, and hands-on implementation with the assistance of our BCBAs is provided at the onset of the position, and new employees are compensated for their training time . Easterseals also covers the certification exam cost (one-time) and annual renewal costs.

In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year, the History Department invites a pool of qualified persons interested in the supervision of secondary teacher candidates in History and Social Science education. Supervisors are needed in both Central Illinois and the Chicagoland area.
Applications are accepted continuously for part-time, non-tenure-track positions and reviewed as vacancies become available.
This position involves mentoring teacher candidates in their student teaching internships. The university supervisor is a liaison between ISU and the school district personnel, primarily the cooperating teacher. The supervisor is responsible for observing the student teacher on-site and providing a formal assessment of the teacher candidate's teaching experience. This requires multiple on-site observations with brief post-conference meetings and a small number of visits to Illinois State University in Normal, IL during the academic year. In addition to regular online communication throughout the semester, supervisors assess teacher candidates' online reflections and collaborate with the Cooperating Teacher and ISU faculty in assessing the professional growth and final grade for teacher candidates.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$252 per month per student supervised plus reimbursement for mileage.
Required Qualifications
1. Master's degree in teaching or relevant academic field.
2. At least three years of history and/or social science classroom teaching experience in a middle school or high school classroom and/or related professional experience.
3. Candidates must be able to demonstrate oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position, as mandated by state law.

Primarily responsible for establishing and maintaining a cooperative working relationship with Treatment Foster Care families through regular visits. These visits aim to identify needs and concerns, facilitating collaboration between the Case Aide, caseworker, and families to address and meet those needs. Additionally, the Case Aide provides direct and indirect services to assigned agency clients. May work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays. Willingness to travel through high-risk communities as needed.
Assist in supervised visitations, ensuring a secure and comfortable environment for families during these interactions. Provide supervision during visits with children, caregivers, and/or siblings. Interpret, assist, and monitor tasks assigned to caregivers during these supervised sessions.
Demonstrate the ability to effectively evaluate and suggest client needs, positive parenting interaction during parent/child visitation, and provide assistance and guidance through knowledge and modeling to enhance areas of improvement. Effectively manage time and workload, ensuring timely completion of visitation records, and sharing pertinent information with the service team.
Assist in filing documentation into the child's agency record and maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions, services provided, and any observed changes in client circumstances. Ensure completion of appropriate documentation in a timely manner, including names, identification numbers, dates, and visit-related information in the SACWIS system, as required for comprehensive and accurate recordkeeping.
Actively collaborate with community resources to connect clients with essential services, including but not limited to housing, healthcare, and educational support. Develop and maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of community resources to effectively serve agency clients.
Provide transportation to clients and caregivers, enhancing accessibility to service delivery. Safely transport clients to appointments, court hearings, visitations, and other relevant locations as required. Maintain and convey knowledge of car seat safety protocols and regulatory requirements to staff.
Represents clients' needs and Agency interests to referral sources, governmental administrative and judicial systems.
Shares information and observations concerning the family and service delivery in the team meetings.
Performs the required duties of the position within the philosophy, policies, and procedures of the Agency and Standards of the Profession and Child Welfare Authorities.
Works cooperatively with other service programs in the Agency.
Demonstrates knowledge and acceptance of Agency policies and procedures and the policies and procedures of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).

Background and Driving Requirements:
