For surgery evaluations runs a Criminal Background Check (CBC). -Contacts client to over the ISO and/or CBC with client to confirm the information and/or obtain any pre-ret treatment regarding any previous accidents. Adds a note regarding the ISO/CBC review. -CM will obtain medical provider full contact information, prior attorney information and provide this to their respective RC for cases where there are pre-existing accidents as they will request the records. Consults and advises clients regarding loss wages claims and credit issues. Resolves problems. Consults with Pre-Lit Manager regarding claims process and special, unusual, or complex circumstances. As required and under the direction of an attorney, assists in the negotiation process for a client's case (case by case) Seeks opportunities for clients to submit favorable online reviews about their experience with the firm.     Prototypes Women's Center-Oxnard is a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility that provides detoxification and residential substance abuse treatment to women, and women with children. Our goal is to help stabilize women in their recovery and transition them to outpatient services, stable housing, a support group and employment/school. We provide daily clinical and psychosocial groups, parenting skills, life skills and relapse prevention. We are licensed for 56 women and 29 children and are located on over 2 acres in Ventura County. Job Overview Our SUD Counselor Internship program is specifically for students enrolled in a Drug and Alcohol Studies Program through an accredited educational program. During their time in our programs, interns are able to observe the daily activities of a residential or outpatient SUD treatment program. Interns have an opportunity to shadow certified SUD Counselors and/or LPHAs during assessment, treatment planning, groups, classes, counseling sessions, and case management sessions. Interns will have an opportunity to attend treatment team meetings and learn about documentation requirements in an electronic health record system. Interns will also have opportunities to work with staff and support clients in their process towards recovery. All interns receive regular weekly supervision with a Certified/Licensed SUD Counselor in a Supervisory Role, Registered LPHA, or Clinical Supervisor in accordance with educational program requirements. (Students who are on active parole or have a criminal record may not be eligible for placement with certain programs.) All SUD Counselor Interns must be present for a TB clearance before the internship starts

OR High School diploma or equivalent G.E.D., and a combination of Behavioral health education and work experience totaling a minimum of two years OR Knowledge of therapeutic community processes, methods, and design, including small-group dynamics. Demonstrated ability to relate well to students and supervise faculty. Understanding of human emotions. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain sensitivity and objectively under pressure generated by association with substance abuse students.
