As a SubstanceAbuseCounselor you'll engage with your patients with individual, group, and/or family counseling. You'll work with a collaborative treatment team consisting of our Medical Director, Program Director, Treatment Services Coordinator, Counselors and Nurses to identify and meet the clinical needs of the patient and to assist in their overall well-being.

Essential Functions:
* Work with patients to complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork.
* Document patient progress through counseling and interaction through groups.
* Complete patient psychosocial and an individualized treatment plan within the required time frame.
* Identify any clinical/case management needs and work to address those needs.
* Perform individual, group, and family counseling as required.
* Perform at least 20 hours of direct one-on-one patient contact per week through individual and/or group counseling sessions.
* Educate patients in all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues and steps to recovery.
* Obtain Urine Drug Screens and initial patient photo identification.
* Always act in the best interests of the program and company; honors, supports, and protects the proprietary data and rights of the company.

Essential Qualifications:
Education/Licensure/Certification: Qualified candidates must have a Master's degree in a Human Services or related field of study and an active LCDC-III in the state of OH.
Experience Required: Experience in the substanceabuse field is preferred, but not required.

This position formulates and implements individual and group interventions in the areas of reintegration planning and substanceabuse treatment. The specialist will conduct evaluations using evidenced-based evaluation rating tools, will implement case and treatment plans and will delivery evidence-based substanceabuse programming. The specialist will develop and implement therapeutic and behavioral interventions to improve a persons' in our care (PIOC) success in completing program requirements.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 12-64 with a starting pay of $29.94/hour - $34.34/hour.
This position may receive a $1.00 to $2.00 per hour add-on pay based on the type of SAC credential possessed at the time of hire.
Candidates with no prior permanent employment with the State of Wisconsin in the past 5 years may be eligible to accept a sign-on bonus of $3,000. The sign-on bonus will be paid in two installments: $1500 on the first paycheck and $1500 with the paycheck for the pay period in which the employee attains permanent status (usually 1 year). (UW System employment isn't disqualifying.)
To receive the bonus, a candidate must sign an agreement indicating they will remain in that position for a year. If the candidate leaves their position prior to completing the one year, they may be required to reimburse the initial payment.

We're looking for someone who:
Is excited to work in an outpatient setting, much like a doctor's office or behavioral health clinic.

To thrive in this role, you must be able to:
Maintain and manage a caseload in compliance with regulatory standards and ratios.
Conduct individual sessions, facilitate group counseling and didactic educational presentations.
Complete comprehensive behavioral health assessments and individualized treatment plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and unique client needs.
Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment through the ongoing assessment of the client and his/her natural supports that may result in modification to the service plan.
Coordinate care with other recovery and community-based service providers, engage in case management activity by sending referrals, completing documentation necessary to secure services, maintain chart compliance, etc.
Include family and natural supports in the client's treatment, per the client's preference.
Maintain and apply knowledge of new developments in the field of substance use as required by specific state licensure.
Maintain a collegian relationship with other substance use professionals, programs, and associations.
Maintain a thorough and comprehensive client record.
Serve as the point of contact for coordination and communication with other systems where clinical knowledge of the case is crucial.
Assist in screening and coordinating primary care services for clients.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree in behavioral health field (i.e., Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work) with a CADC
Masters Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work with a CAADC - CAADC's can be obtained if they do not have it
Licensed (Limited License) LPC, LMFT, LMSW, LCSW with a CAADC or development plan
