Responsibilities:
Conduct initial/ongoing assessments to meet the needs of the person served
Continue open communication between supervisors; direct care staff members; family members; guardians; collateral individuals regarding the individual's status/progress
Provide a tentative schedule to supervisor of appointments/home visits/observations for the week/month to continue open communication of work progress

Provide follow-up interviews/home visits/observations for continued support for the individual's needs
Be flexible/adaptable to ever changing policies/procedures/status/issues related to the individual in order to support him/her
Have effective record keeping (i.e. monthly/quarterly notes; in-service training; contact information; program plans) to ensure information is readily available to interested parties (i.e. management; surveyor)
Act as liaison with the public and mental health community for the purpose of supporting individual development goals
Assist in developing procedures for training materials to enhance programs for individuals and ensures program operations are in compliance with established guidelines
Continued education on behaviorally based interventions & techniques to stay competitive in the field
Follow-up visits and monthly/quarterly notes of individual's progression
Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning within the work unit
Qualifications:

The Youth Tracker is responsible for completing assigned daily contact with youth, as well as meeting the conditions of the youth's service plan for assigned caseload. The Youth Tracker must maintain a flexible work schedule that may include working hours other than regular work schedule and evenings, weekends and holidays.

Conduct face to face daily contacts at various locations with youth assigned.
Manage behaviors through the use of programmatic and individual structure.

Notify Program Director or designee immediately in the event of a youth crisis, suspected illegal activity or any other youth or program incident.

Work Environment:
This is a youth tracking program which requires daily contact at various client locations. Work shifts are subject to change. Noise levels vary from mild to moderate. This position may require extended periods of time in an automobile. Exposed to prevalent weather conditions. This position will require 85% travel to various GA counties (max up to 1 ½ hour one way), and 15% in the office. Staff are required to use their own vehicle for tracking. Travel reimbursement (IRS Mileage Rate) is provided to staff.

Responsibilities/Duties
Counsel with emphasis on prevention and/or behavior modification with individuals under supervision in the criminal justice system on probation or parole.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receives and promptly responds to all incoming inquiries and requests for services within 24 hours, conducts a timely in-depth review of requests, and ensures completion of all casework steps required for placement consideration.
Assists the family in obtaining appropriate evaluation and consultation, as needed, for psychological, physical and learning problems.
At the request of the program, assists the family in complying with the Family Agency Agreement through consistent evaluation of the monthly support payment balance and follow up when the account is not current, there are changes to the agreement, or the family is having difficulties meeting the terms of or is in noncompliance of the agreement.
Develops, maintains, and submits timely accurate case record documentation, mini social histories, 6 month post placement surveys, outcome measures, and other reports as needed
Assists the family in identifying community resources and developing an alternative plan when services are no longer needed or provided by the Youth Ranches, which may include providing direction to families after youth's discharge from the residential program and/or the aftercare monitoring program.
Maintains a resource knowledge within the assigned outreach area that includes the regional Community Based Care organization (CBC), schools, mental health programs, social/human services agencies, sheriff's offices and other identified agencies and maintains quality relationships with all resources through a disciplined pattern of visitation.
Maintains contact with the program where the youth are located and meets with the youth at the program site and/or school no less than monthly.
Manages a caseload of 20% of residential capacity and add students to the waiting list when census is full.
Develops a schedule to engage community partners such as Sheriffs offices, schools, shelters, job fairs, churches and other community resources in order to share our mission and seek out disadvantaged students that will benefit by attending our program.
In cooperation with other Agency Staff, participates in the planning and delivery of family engagement activities such as Family Fun Days at the Boys Ranch, Harmony in the Family programming, and Weekend TBRI camps.
Assists with coordination of the annual summer camp program by establishing community referral contacts to assist in the placement process.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A master's degree in social work, or Counseling, is preferred from an accredited college or university;

SUMMARY
The Family Engagement Specialist provides residential screening and parent education for youth and/or families who have requested the services of the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches. The Family Engagement Specialist works cooperatively with the staff, acting as a field liaison between the parents of placed youth and the agency and provides time limited aftercare support and networking depending on the youth’s length of stay in the program. The Family Engagement Specialist will engage community partners such as Sheriff’s offices, schools, churches, job fairs, shelters, and other community resources in order to share the mission of our Agency and to seek out disadvantaged students that could benefit from our program.
The Family Engagement Specialist is directly responsible to the Family Engagement Director.
This position is exempt from overtime pay.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and responsibilities are the various types of work performed in this position. Other duties and responsibilities may also be assigned.
Receives and promptly responds to all incoming inquiries and requests for services within 24 hours, conducts a timely in-depth review of requests, and ensures completion of all casework steps required for placement consideration.
Assists the family in obtaining appropriate evaluation and consultation, as needed, for psychological, physical and learning problems.
At the request of the program, assists the family in complying with the Family Agency Agreement through consistent evaluation of the monthly support payment balance and follow up when the account is not current, there are changes to the agreement, or the family is having difficulties meeting the terms of or is in noncompliance of the agreement.
Develops, maintains, and submits timely accurate case record documentation, mini social histories, 6 month post placement surveys, outcome measures, and other reports as needed
Assists the family in identifying community resources and developing an alternative plan when services are no longer needed or provided by the Youth Ranches, which may include providing direction to families after youth’s discharge from the residential program and/or the aftercare monitoring program.
Maintains a resource knowledge within the assigned outreach area that includes the regional Community Based Care organization (CBC), schools, mental health programs, social/human services agencies, sheriff’s offices and other identified agencies and maintains quality relationships with all resources through a disciplined pattern of visitation.
Maintains contact with the program where the youth are located and meets with the youth at the program site and/or school no less than monthly.
Manages a caseload of 20% of residential capacity and add students to the waiting list when census is full.
Develops a schedule to engage community partners such as Sheriffs offices, schools, shelters, job fairs, churches and other community resources in order to share our mission and seek out disadvantaged students that will benefit by attending our program.
In cooperation with other Agency Staff, participates in the planning and delivery of family engagement activities such as Family Fun Days at the Boys Ranch, Harmony in the Family programming, and Weekend TBRI camps.
Assists with coordination of the annual summer camp program by establishing community referral contacts to assist in the placement process.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A master’s degree in social work, or Counseling, is preferred from an accredited college or university;
or
a bachelor’s degree in social work, Counseling, or a directly related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years’ experience in child welfare and/or working with children with serious emotional disturbances is acceptable.

Conducts ongoing assessments to meet the needs of patients served.

State Specific Requirements:
Illinois: Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), or a minimum of a bachelor’s degree with 1500 hours of supervised experience performed by a Licensed Psychologist or BCBA.
Indiana: A master’s degree in a human related field (this includes but is not limited to BCBA, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Counselor)
Kentucky: A master’s degree in a human related field and 2 years of experience (this includes but is not limited to BCBA, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Counselor)
Georgia: Master’s degree in psychology, special education, counseling, social work, or related field OR BCBA, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Psychologist/Psychiatrist.
