Duties:
Design mechanical components and assemblies to meet performance, safety, and cost requirements for medium and high voltage transformers with a maximum voltage of 69KV and power up to 20 MVA.
Perform mechanical/electrical calculations and simulations for stress, weights, cooling requirements, and mechanical properties.
Develop mechanical layouts and cooling systems for structural integrity and thermal management according to customer specifications.
Develop winding and insulation systems for high voltage reliability and thermal management.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and testing teams, local and worldwide.
Prepare technical documentation and support customer discussions.
Apply Design for Manufacturing principles to optimize production and reduce lead times.
Ensure compliance with international mechanical and safety standards (IEEE, ASME, ISO, UL) requirements.

Role accountabilities:
This role will serve as Arcadis' main point of contact for clients' electrical needs and support projects and clients in the planning, design, and construction of water/wastewater facilities and similar industrial projects. Other duties include:

Utilize CAD software (Autodesk and Bentley products) for electrical system design and documentation
Establish design criteria and perform design calculations
Develop electrical design documents including one-line diagrams, control schematics, electrical plans and specifications
Provide engineering services during construction, review equipment submittals and shop drawings and respond to contractor RFIs (Requests for Information)
Conduct field inspections to identify deviations from design and ensure safety compliance during construction
Perform electrical system analysis using tools such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools and other power systems analysis software
Travel as required to meet project needs
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in ElectricalEngineering, ElectricalEngineering Technology, a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
EIT or Professional Engineer (PE).

Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of STS and PDU 3-phase power products, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards (UL, IEC, NEC, etc.) and customer specifications.
Work closely with product mangers and project engineers to understand technical requirements and translate them into detailed engineering specifications.
Specify site planning data, including power distribution layouts, cable sizing, and environmental considerations to ensure successful product integration.
Specify circuit breakers and develop circuit breaker coordination schemes to optimize protection and reliability in power distribution systems.
Develop control system designs and schematics by integrating Vertiv's digital and analog controls for monitoring and managing power distribution systems.
Develop and execute test plans to validate the thermal performance, electromagnetic interference (EMI), metering and controls accuracy/performance, and withstand fault performance of the STS and PDU units.
Ensure that all designs and implementations adhere to the latest industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and schematics. Review and provide feedback for user manuals and other customer facing documentation.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, firmware developers, and manufacturing teams, to ensure the seamless integration and deployment of products.
Identify areas requiring process improvement or documentation. Work with management to execute improvements.
Requirements:
