Job Description
Uncommon Elementary School Teachers cultivate a love for learning in every student from the very start. Responsibilities
1. Instruction
You'll co-teach and build an engaging and joyful classroom environment that encourages mastery and empowers students to engage in academic discourse.
You'll teach the basic principles of mathematics.
You'll teach reading and writing to build students' literacy skills: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
You'll teach an ELA curriculum that prioritizes meaningful texts and topics that are interesting and relevant.
You'll teach a Science curriculum that prioritizes knowledge of geology, astronomy, ecology, and cycles in nature to ensure students understand climate change and how to take care of the Earth.
You'll teach a Social Studies curriculum that incorporates analyses of America's diverse histories, with an emphasis on cultural and civic awareness.
2. Data Analysis
You'll meet weekly with your principal and/or instructional coach to analyze and respond to trends in student work samples and assessments.
You'll learn and implement strategies to differentiate instruction for all learners in your classroom.
3. School Culture
You'll build positive relationships with students to ensure they feel seen, loved, and heard.
You'll partner with students' families to ensure appropriate resources are available to support their children's learning needs.
You'll engage in practice-based professional development, mentorship, and coaching sessions.
You'll support morning arrival, lunch duty, student assemblies, class transitions, and after-school dismissal.
You'll participate in weekly, school-wide meetings to foster community, model our core values, and encourage student achievement.
You'll partner with your grade level team to develop academic goals and practice instructional strategies.

Job Description
Uncommon Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) teachers are passionate about literature and building an engaging classroom culture. Our teachers develop subject mastery and have a keen sense of the socio-emotional changes middle schoolers experience. At the heart of all ELA classes is an emphasis on writing and discourse designed to give students the tools to be confident in the power of their own voice. Chesterbrook Academy is seeking an energetic and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our growing early childhood education team! Our toddler program is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and support every child's development through discovery and play.
As a Toddler Teacher, you'll create a safe and engaging classroom where children can explore the world around them while building independence and essential early learning skills.
What You'll Do
Design and implement interactive, age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
Foster a warm and consistent classroom routine that helps toddlers feel secure and confident.
Build positive partnerships with families through open, ongoing communication.
Work collaboratively with co-teachers and school leaders to ensure an exceptional learning experience.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age and meet state licensing requirements.
CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
Prior experience in a licensed childcare center.
A passion for early learning, creativity, and helping children discover new skills each day.
