Responsibilities
Planning and delivering lessons: This involves creating lesson plans and teaching a variety of subjects, including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution required

A Master ELA Teacher is required to perform the following duties:

Maintain high expectations for all students and staff members

Lead the implementation of the GEO Prep Academy instructional model; provide ongoing training and development in the implementation of a rotational blended learning model
Develop an exemplary instructional and academic improvement plan
Continuously analyze results of assignments, standardized assessments, and other data points in order to develop targeted interventions to ensure the academic success of all students
Lead weekly data team meetings with teachers and instructional support staff
Read lesson plans and give feedback weekly
Locate research-based strategies that will support student achievement in the identified areas of need as revealed from a thorough analysis of student and teacher performance data; provide adequate modeling and follow-up to ensure proper implementation of strategies
Lead the implementation of the teacher support and development system; including weekly professional learning and data team meetings
Clearly articulate benchmark and end-of-year student performance goals for each course; assist teachers in developing individual performance goals and action steps; check progress towards goals at regular intervals; provide training, resources, and support for meeting goals.
Conduct classroom evaluations and conferences for both extended classroom visits and weekly walkthroughs
Communicate teacher performance to the principal, highlighting teachers in need of coaching due to insufficient performance; assist the principal in the development of individual growth plans for teachers that have received poor performance ratings and/or student growth results
Communicate and collaborate with teachers and school administrators
Attend all required staff meetings

Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

STATEMENT OF THE JOB: Under the overall supervision of the Early Childhood Director and the direct supervision of the Project Director, the Teacher is responsible for implementing the educational program for 3-5 year old children at the center level.

Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.

Responsible for:
guiding childrens behavior in positive, proactive ways through the use of regular routines, picture schedules, classroom jobs, and positive descriptive praise,
implementing the curriculum daily lesson plans,
promoting developmentally, linguistically, and culturally appropriate practices,
scheduling and conducting regular educational home visits at the family home and parent teacher conferences at the center and
monitoring and documenting childrens growth and development on an ongoing basis, through the use of data collection tools provided, and using the collected data to individualize for every child.
Is knowledgeable in all aspects of use and design of learning centers.
Provide supervision for children at all times and other staff or volunteers as designated.
Responsible for the orderliness and cleanliness of center.
Promote good eating habits by sitting at the table, conversing, encouraging good table manners and eating with the children when food is served
Maintain a high quality daily program of work and designated record keeping.
Work cooperatively with other classroom/center staff.
Coordinate with administrative office and support staff to implement appropriate recommendations made by local education agencies and/or consultants.
Assist in obtaining and documenting volunteer hours and donated items from parent and community members, which may be used as In-Kind (Non-Federal Match).
Attend and participate in monthly center staff meetings.
Participate in the following, as requested:

IEP meetings
Serve as a member of the IEP Team and work with administrative staff and therapist to implement classroom supports that help children reach their IEP goal(s).
Must be able to see, hear and respond to childrens needs, emergencies, and conflicts that might occur in the classroom, playground, bathrooms, or other areas used by children.
May assume responsibility of giving overall direction to the Center in the absence of the Center Manager, if designated.
Responsible for avoidance or appearance of fraud and ensuring compliance in the overall management of the center.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Respect confidentiality in all aspects of the Head Start Program.
Willing to participate in all training designed for professional development.
Document attendance of a minimum of 15 clock hours per year of approved professional development that is high-quality, sustained, intensive and classroom-focused.
Able to handle stress, tension and exasperation that contact with many children and adults may bring every day.
May be called upon to administer first aid to children or staff at any time in the program. The incidental nature of this circumstance effectively establishes first aid as a collateral duty, rather than a primary one.
Perform other duties as needed and required for efficient operation of the Center, needs and welfare of the children.

General Description: Extended care child team members are responsible for the safety and care of children during after care, as well as during holiday and summer camps. The job duties include, but are not limited to the ones indicated below.

* Locate research-based strategies that will support student achievement in the identified areas of need as revealed from a thorough analysis of student and teacher performance data; provide adequate modeling and follow-up to ensure proper implementation of strategies
* Lead the implementation of the teacher support and development system; including weekly professional learning and data team meetings
* Clearly articulate benchmark and end-of-year student performance goals for each course; assist teachers in developing individual performance goals and action steps; check progress towards goals at regular intervals; provide training, resources, and support for meeting goals.
* Conduct classroom evaluations and conferences for both extended classroom visits and weekly walkthroughs
* Communicate teacher performance to the principal, highlighting teachers in need of coaching due to insufficient performance; assist the principal in the development of individual growth plans for teachers that have received poor performance ratings and/or student growth results
* Communicate and collaborate with teachers and school administrators
* Attend all required staff meetings
* Participate in staff development opportunities

Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
