Overall, he/she is responsible for helping students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible adults without a full-time classroom teacher or teaching assistant. This position is ineligible for long-term assignments. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The successful District-Wide Substitute Teacher: Answers and responds to a phone call, text, or email from the Substitute Coordinator or delegate each morning between 7:00-8:00 AM to learn of the day's assignment and location.
