BASIC FUNCTION: Substitute staff work in cooperation with lead teachers and other classroom staff to plan, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive educational and behavioral program for students. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

2. The teacher maintains his/her teaching skills and participates in professional development activities (both within the school community and attendance at conferences, workshops, etc.). The teacher is a member of professional organizations including but not limited to the American Montessori Society and is aware of major areas of research in teaching and resources for professional learning.
3. The Department of Health and Kinesiology (HK, ************************** The mission of the Department is to advance and disseminate knowledge related to health, rehabilitation, and human movement using an interdisciplinary approach. Through the integration of high-quality research, instruction, and outreach programs, faculty scholars within HK are leading initiatives that address pressing concerns of our diverse society such as prevention and management of chronic disease as well as maintenance of health and well-being across the lifespan.
