Works with the Director of Student Services and the McKinney-Vento Liaison Specialist to assist in the planning and implementation of tutoring students, complying with the McKinney-Vento grant requirements.
Collects, monitors, and records data pertaining to the McKinney-Vento grant. Shares updated results with the McKinney -Vento Liaison Specialist on a frequent basis.
Reports weekly to the McKinney-Vento Liaison Specialist.
Provides homework assistance and assistance with individual assignments to participating students.
As directed by grant manager, provides communication about program and students' progress to parents on a regular basis.
OTHER DUTIES:
Performs related work as required by the grant manager and the Director of Student Services.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position requires significant periods of standing and walking and is performed in a typical learning environment.
UNUSUAL DEMANDS: May be subject to flexible hours.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Grant-funded positions. Rate of pay: $41.00/hr, 1 hour per scheduled day (4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.) in locations to be determined by student need.
Possibility of additional sessions based on grant funding and student need.

Under general supervision plans and implements academic lessons, activities and plans for students in an assigned program. The Mathematics Interventionist works under the direction of the K-12 Mathematics Supervisor and with another Mathematics Specialist in coordinating the countywide program of mathematics instruction.
QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of or eligible for a Postgraduate Professional Certificate.
Five years of recent successful mathematics teaching or coaching experience.
