Job Type: Part-Time / On-Call General Summary: SubstituteTeachers are responsible for maintaining the continuity of classroom instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. They are expected to implement lesson plans, manage classroom behavior, and ensure a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment for all students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow the lesson plans and daily schedules provided by the regular teacher.
Instruct students in accordance with school and district policies and procedures.
Manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning environment.
Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, and other assigned duties.
Maintain confidentiality of all student and staff information.
Leave a summary of the day's activities and any student issues for the returning teacher.
Communicate professionally with school staff and administration.
Report any incidents, issues, or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience working with children or in an educational setting is a plus.
Must pass required background checks and complete district-required training.
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Ability to adapt and be flexible in varying classroom environments.
Working Conditions:
May work in a variety of school settings (elementary, middle, or high school).
May be required to lift up to 25 pounds and perform light physical activity.
Must be available on short notice and work assigned hours as needed.
Evaluation:
Performance will be evaluated by the school principal or designee in accordance with district policies and procedures. If performance is not effective and does not align to the expectations of the school and/or the district, your employment may be discontinued.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Under general supervision assists students in learning subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible adults. Reports to the school Principal.
Education and Experience:
Education and experience as required by state certification authorities.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of the policies, procedures and activities of the school District which pertain to the specific duties and responsibilities of the position. Knowledge in the methods for developing lesson plans and materials, and classroom activities which stimulate learning. Knowledge of the records, forms and reports which must be prepared and maintained. Knowledge of proper maintenance of equipment, materials and supplies used in daily activities. Skills/Effort:

Ability to prepare lesson plans, tests, and instructional materials for classroom activities. Ability to identify student adjustment and/or academic problems, provide counseling and/or recommend appropriate remedial action to parents. Ability to communicate effectively with students and their parents, District staff, and all other groups involved in the activities of the job.
Working Conditions:
Conducts duties in a classroom environment with some exposure to environmental conditions. Requires ability to work under a degree of stress related to duties that require constant attention and working with students. Physical demands are restricted to classroom work requiring the lifting/moving of items weighing up to 25 pounds. Occasional local travel is required; no overnight travel is required. Job requires the operation of standard office equipment.
Responsibility:
