Position Description
The current opening for a middle school Spanish teacher calls for an educator interested and experienced in teaching the acquisition of Spanish speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills at the middle school level. This full-time position is for:
One section of Spanish 6 (four quarter-long rotations for sixth graders),
Up to three sections of Spanish A (the 7th-grade Spanish course), AND
One section of middle school advisory (grade to be determined) with up to 14 advisees
A note about advisory: This comprehensive program is a hallmark of a Wildwood education from grades 5 through 12. Advisors serve on a team with other advisors in the same grade level and travel together as a cohort with the same group of single-aged advisees until 8th grade, with the presentation of a Gateway. Curriculum for advisory is anchored by core principles and program strands, and it is refined each year to ensure relevance and richness for students.
Key duties for full-time teachers include:
Creating, planning, and delivering curricula that meet the goals of the K-12 scope and sequence
Creating lesson plans and instructional materials for the classroom
Guiding and supporting student learning, differentiating appropriately
Consulting with school resources-school counselor, learning resource specialist, Academic Services Coordinator, etc. -to support the learning and growth of each student
Collaborating with colleagues, maintaining healthy and respectful communication
Regularly assessing the progress of each student to plan and support student growth and development
Maintaining professional and timely communication with both students and parents/guardians, particularly regarding students' academic progress
Writing clear and concise progress reports to communicate students' progress and learning needs to parents/guardians and students
Meeting administrative deadlines in a timely manner (e.g., narratives, emergency/first aid training, Child Abuse Reporting Acknowledgement, etc.)
Keeping accurate records: attendance, accidents, expenses

Purchasing, with the approval of the school director, relevant instructional materials that deepen learning
Maintaining a clean and orderly classroom/laboratory

Overview
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: Responsible for leading and providing a stimulating, safe, and developmentally appropriate educational environment where infants, toddlers and preschool children. Schedule:
Monday - Friday hours may vary as the team rotates scheduled. You must be available to work any shift between 6:30am - 8:00pm.
The Child Development Center (CDC) is closed major Federal holidays and four days for Professional Developement. The center is open year round.
