The Role
Our internship program focuses on bringing in the best and brightest top talent from universities across the country who can "think outside the box" and thrive on finding ways to address business challenges. Our Summer Internship runs for 9 weeks and you will be exposed to project management and field operations experiences that will help you see your future career in Construction Management. Responsibilities
Project Management
Gain an understanding of both the day-to-day business and financial management on our projects. Explore the critical role of a Project Manager onsite and support the team with coordination, material tracking, file management, document control, and progress reporting.
Field Operations
Interns in a field role help lay the foundation of the project and coordinate the details on site. Work with field supervision to assist with safety procedures, project, and trade partner coordination, verification of field conditions and quality control.
Qualifications
Microsoft Office computer skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence supervisors, peers, and external partners.
Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelors Program.
Civil Engineer, Construction Management, Business, and Liberal Arts Degrees will be considered.

Welder/Pipefitter

The ideal candidate has experience with pipefitting and hydronic systems and can ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards. Position Responsibilities
Perform layout, welding, and assembly of hydronic piping systems, including steel, stainless steel, and copper materials
Install and secure piping systems for hydronic heating and cooling, ensuring proper alignment and function
Read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions and procedures
Ensure all installations adhere to code and Power Design's standards of quality, safety, and best practices
Here's What We're Looking For
Familiarity with hydronic system components, including boilers, pumps, and piping required
Strong understanding of welding and fabrication standards for plumbing and HVAC systems
Educational training completed through an accredited program or 3+ years of equivalent work experience
One or more of the following certifications required: 6g Pipe Welding, NCCER Pipefitting/Welding, or CWF (Certified Welding Fabricator)
Proficient knowledge of the NCCER standards, local codes, and construction safety requirements
OSHA 30 certification preferred
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high quality work
Ability to physically perform the essential functions of the job
Use of proper protective clothing or equipment worn at all times
