What you'll need: Education/Licensure: Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) designation that is recognized under Massachusetts law is required. Following degrees meet the criteria: MSW, LCSW, LICSW, LMHC and LMHC eligible degrees, LADC 1, RN, Licensed Occupational Therapist. Unlicensed MSW graduates welcome to apply under Pathway program. Experience: Previous experience in the provision of clinical or rehabilitative services to adults with chronic and serious mental health issues and/or substance use disorders preferred.     The Biology and Radiological Sciences Department at Suffolk University invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty member to serve as the Medical Dosimetry Clinical Coordinator beginning Aug 1, 2025. This position involves teaching didactic courses and clinical practica, coordinating clinical rotation schedules, managing pre-clinical orientation and clinical rotation requirements, as well as providing advising and mentorship to students. Reporting to the Medical Dosimetry Program Director, the successful candidate will also assist with tasks related to program accreditation by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), such as the preparation of accreditation and annual report documents, and participation in outcomes assessment. Additional duties include maintenance of student academic files and the management of prospective student inquiries, clinical shadows, and other admissions-related activities. The clinical coordinator serves as the main liaison between the clinical sites and the university and is expected to conduct periodic clinical site visits. This position requires a minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Medical Dosimetrist, one year of student supervisory experience in clinical or didactic settings, and certification by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB), in accordance with JRCERT requirements for a clinical coordinator position. A master's degree is required. Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required. The position requires strong computer skills and the ability to learn different types of software. Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are essential. Suffolk's Biology and Radiological Sciences Department offers undergraduate majors in Biology, Radiation Therapy, and Radiation Science, a post-baccalaureate certificate in Radiation Therapy, and the master's program in Medical Dosimetry. Enrollment in the Biology major is approximately 250 with majority of students eventually pursuing careers in biotech and health professions. The clinical programs in Radiation Therapy and Medical Dosimetry are smaller and graduate at most 10 and 8 students per year respectively. Responsibilities * Coordinate surgical and medical management of kidney and pancreas transplant patients in the outpatient setting. * Manage living donor follow up in collaboration with living donor coordinators. * Coordinate care of surgical patients that undergo hernia repairs, dialysis catheters, and other elective surgical procedures conducted by our kidney and pancreas surgeons. * Assisting transplant surgeons and nephrologists in the outpatient clinic to perform comprehensive history and physical exams, develop differential diagnoses, implement plan of care and document patient's response to care. * Conduct pre-operative history and physical exams, as well as obtain transplant and other surgical consents. * Provide direct patient care by evaluating patients awaiting transplant, as well as post- transplant recipients, and kidney donors. * Collect, order and interpret lab work and diagnostic studies under agreed upon protocols. * Order and obtain medication prior authorizations for kidney transplant recipients. * Develop practice protocols, standard of care, and patient education material for kidney/pancreas transplant recipients. * In conjunction with the research team, monitor and provide care to patients participating in research studies. * In partnership with Quality, Research and Education group, help develop and manage detail clinical databases to evaluate and improve patient outcomes. * Attend professional meetings and conferences, maintain professional affiliations and enhances professional development to stay current with trends in health care administration. The primary responsibility of the Clinical Experience Coordinator for undergraduate medical education clinical (UME) experiences will be to oversee the planning, preparation and execution of longitudinal clinical experiences in the College of Medicine. This role includes the recruitment, development and retention of preceptors and oversight of various clinical experiences for medical students throughout the UME curriculum. As the duties are ever evolving, we are seeking someone with expertise in managing their time efficiently and independently, and with strong organizational skills. The coordinator will report to the Administrator and Associate Dean for Clinical Skills. Key Responsibilities Preceptor Recruitment: Under the guidance of the Associate Dean for Clinical Skills, develop and coordinate direct outreach to potential preceptors; recruit preceptors for incoming medical students. Create awareness of volunteer opportunities in the extended community. Lead development of materials and presentations to potential preceptors and student placement sites. Vet potential preceptors and visit sites as needed. Complete onboarding of new preceptors through various clinical departments and process faculty appointments. Preceptor Development & Retention: Coordinate the initiation of new preceptors. Assist in defining standards for preceptor roles. Ensure preceptors are knowledgeable of the course curriculum. Ensure agreements and insurance with off-campus sites remain current. Maintain communication with active preceptors. Coordinate preceptor retention activities (e.g. professional development-CME, recognition awards). Preceptor Experience: Match students to preceptors and oversee the day to-day activities of the students' experiences. Coordinate student onboarding at participating sites by communicating with Medical Education offices at preceptor sites and meet with students to troubleshoot issues and concerns. Proctor exams for undergraduate medical students and assist in the planning, organization and delivery of student assessment and logistics. Clinical Skills Curriculum Delivery: assist with the coordination and implementation of other curricular events including student orientation, transition to clerkship, transition to residency, and faculty development sessions. Under the guidance of the Administrator, provide logistical assistance and backup to other Clinical Skills staff throughout all Foundations 1 and 2 clinical skills curricula. Monitor completion of Dean's Council for Education action plans by communicating with responsible parties. Perform other job related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Public Administration or related field. 3 to 5 years of experience working in an administrative capacity. Project Management skills and experience. Strong organizational, written and communication skills. Precise attention to detail and accuracy; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
