The CHW Case Manager facilitates Suffolk student access to off-campus healthcare services focusing on behavioral health services but also including primary care and limited other services. Reporting to the Associate Director of Counseling Operations, the Case Manager provides direct referral services to students including assessment and determination of treatment needs and referral sources. This position is expected to maintain and update the diverse and interdisciplinary nature CHW's referral resource list to meet the needs of Suffolk's diverse student population. The Case Manager provides referrals upon request from CHW staff, students, and/or families/guardians, meeting individually with students to assist with referral identification and to coach students through the process of accessing off-campus healthcare when needed. This position is expected to utilize professional training/licensure to make independent decisions regarding student referral needs.

Responsibilities:
Provides direct referral services via 1:1 clinical appointments with Suffolk students for behavioral health, primary care, and other services in the community. For behavioral health, assesses student treatments needs and identifies appropriate options for treatment in the community, or, collaborates with CHW clinicians seeking referral for students following a period of treatment in CHW. For primary care and other services, completes referrals as requested by CHW medical or mental health clinicians, students, or families.
Utilizes up-to-date knowledge of mental health conditions, diagnoses, and appropriate treatment modalities to facilitate independent clinical decisions regarding appropriate referrals for students presenting with a wide variety of diagnoses and treatment needs.
Maintains timely and thorough client contact documentation compliant with Center policies and procedures and applicable state laws.
Maintain and updates the Center's off-campus mental health referral resource list via outreach to resources regarding specific services, provider credentials and accepted insurance/payment information as well as by responding to community provider resource listing requests.
Develops resource documents for students seeking to access off-campus referrals (e.g., questions to ask, insurance information, etc.).
Time allowing, participates in community outreach facilitated by CHW staff.
Consistent with licensure, assists with CHW campus support services during times of major campus crises and/or psychological emergencies per request of the CHW Executive Director.
Attends CHW Counseling staff meetings, case consultation meetings, and professional development seminars related to interdisciplinary practice and DEI, schedule permitting.
Attends Center and Student Affairs Division meetings and professional development programs, schedule permitting.
Requirements:
LICSW or LMHC preferred; licensure in Massachusetts within 6 month of hire required.

Additional Information
This is a 9-month, part-time, hourly position. The Case Manager works 21 hours per week (3 full days) between approximately August 15 and May 15 each year. CHW providers work on-site during the academic year; limited remote work is available during academic breaks. Due to clinical/campus emergencies or an occasional evening program, CHW staff may work beyond regularly scheduled office hours.
This DevOps role will work primarily within Suffolk University Law School's Legal Innovation and Technology Lab (LIT Lab), which is located both within Suffolk's nationally ranked Clinical Programs and the Law School's nationally recognized Legal Innovation and Technology Center (LIT Center). The mission of the LIT Lab is to apply technologies and design processes to improve access to civil legal services for the public. The LIT Lab provides legal tech and data science consulting services to organizational clients, including courts, while also engaging in independent research and product development. The LIT Lab enrolls and works with a broad range of law students each semester for credit and pay, preparing our students for careers in the future of legal technology.
This position will support the backend of the Lab's efforts to make civil legal processes more accessible to the public through electronic court filing initiatives across multiple states. That effort has already helped tens of thousands of litigants access legal forms, and applicants can learn more here. This position will help expand Docassemble hosting and e-filing for courts. The position add new capacity and maintain existing capacity. The position will be focused on spinning up new services as necessary, observing and monitoring existing services, maintaining reliability of those services, and investigating incidents, all while accelerating development and keeping maintenance costs low. While the position will work with the rest of the lab to chart high level goals and features, the position will have the freedom to chart their own path to achieve those goals.
As time permits, the DevOps role will also assist with documentation, testing, and development of the Lab's other ongoing software development projects, which are primarily built in Python (Flask or FastAPI), Docassemble, JavaScript/Next.JS, and Java. The Developer will report directly to Professor Christina Miller, Associate Director of Clinical Programs. As a member of the LIT Lab, the Developer's work will be directly overseen by Practitioners in Residence and LIT Lab Co-Directors, David Colarusso and Quinten Steenhuis. The Developer will have the benefit of mentorship and supervision by the Lab's experienced staff of developers, attorneys, and academics, but may be required to work more independently than in many development shops.
Duration and Compensation: This position will begin as soon as possible. The Developer position is a full-time, 12-month grant and contract-funded position with the possibility of annual extensions, depending on ongoing funding. Access and Eligibility Services (AES) is responsible for supporting and administering a range of vital state benefit programs, including the State Supplement Program (SSP), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), SUN Bucks, and other evolving initiatives, designed to support hundreds of thousands of low-income and disabled residents across the Commonwealth. ForHealth Consulting at UMass Chan Medical School provides financial and operational leadership on behalf of our state partners to ensure the effective delivery of these benefits.
Under the general direction of the Accounting Supervisor of AES, the Financial Data and Operations Analyst is responsible for performing complex administrative, financial, and accounting functions across multiple AES programs. This role provides critical support for the accurate preparation and review of monthly and quarterly financial statements, budgets, journal entries, and operational transactions. Additional duties include performing detailed financial data and cost-benefit analysis to facilitate data-driven decision-making for the organization.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced analytical skills, strong attention to detail, sound judgment, agility in responding to new programmatic needs, and a solid foundation in financial analysis and accounting principles. Proven ability to analyze and interpret financial data, monitor transaction flows, and reconcile program accounts is essential. This position requires a high standard for documentation and presentation, including preparing daily and monthly reconciliation packages in a professional, organized, and neat format for internal review and external audit purposes. The position requires collaborative teamwork, the ability to receive direction from supervisors and managers, self-direction, time management, and willingness to learn new skills. The Financial Data and Operations Analyst will manage incoming and outgoing phone calls with clients to address questions and provide guidance regarding their payments, process operational transactions with accuracy, and actively collaborate with team members to support the development and implementation of new program areas.
* Demonstrate strong financial analysis and accounting skills throughout all essential functions, ensuring accurate accounting, data integrity, and resolution of issues for AES programs. Work independently to problem-solve and address routine matters but promptly escalate atypical or complex issues to the supervisor for direction and resolution.
* Prepare daily and monthly financial reconciliation packages by gathering and organizing supporting documentation, performing account analyses, researching and resolving discrepancies, and ensuring that all materials are presented timely in a clear, professional, and neat format suitable for management review, audit, and recordkeeping.
* Accurately verify and reconcile daily and monthly payment file transmissions across case tracking systems and bank systems, including identifying and resolving exceptions and reconciling items, processing refund deposits, and detecting potential fraud.
* Proactively research discrepancies and create detailed reports of suspected or confirmed fraud for prompt escalation to the supervisor, in accordance with established protocols.
* Analyze, review, and interpret complex financial data sets and budgets to support operational and strategic decisions for AES programs (SSP, SNAP, SUN Bucks, and other future programs); demonstrate initiative in investigating variances and recommending solutions.
* Conduct cost-benefit analyses and deliver recommendations, reports, and presentations to management as needed, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills to generate actionable insights.
* Prepare, review, and support monthly and quarterly journal entries, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies identified during the process.
* Research and resolve escalations related to payments, banking information, and client inquiries across multiple programs, utilizing independent judgment and investigative skills to provide timely solutions to complex problems. Promptly escalate any unusual or unresolved issues to the supervisor for direction.
* Perform financial tracking and monitoring of overpayments and recoupments, including investigating discrepancies, documenting cases, coordinating resolutions, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies through independent analysis and problem resolution.
* Monitor daily print and mailing activity for program communications; track relevant usage and supply metrics. Maintain inventory of essential supplies, such as check stock, postage, and envelopes, to ensure critical checks and notices are sent out timely and without interruption. Troubleshoot supply and process issues as needed.
* Review outstanding payments and void activity to ensure timely resolution, proactively investigating and resolving discrepancies independently.
* Coordinate banking activity uploads and verify resulting output across AES program systems; review upload discrepancies and solve issues as they arise.
* Engage in both incoming and outgoing calls with clients to discuss their payments, answer questions, and process changes or updates as required; research and resolve any issues or complaints independently.
* Collaborate with program teams to process operational transactions for new and existing program areas, including independent problem-solving and troubleshooting, escalating abnormal situations promptly to the supervisor.
* Proactively recommend updates to policies and procedures to address evolving workflows and strengthen internal controls, drawing on insights gained from problem resolution and discrepancies identified during daily operations.
* Maintain flexibility and a proactive approach in supporting new program areas and adapting to evolving procedures, systems, or requirements as AES expands its offerings; demonstrate initiative in troubleshooting and resolving unfamiliar issues while exercising sound judgment in consulting with the supervisor on non-routine or complex matters.
* Perform all other tasks assigned by the supervisor and/or manager.
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or similar field
* 3 years financial accounting, reporting and analysis, budgeting, or related experience
* Familiarity with designing and programing spreadsheets, databases, or custom reports
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills needed to communicate effectively with all levels of management
* Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret financial documents, such as system reports
* Demonstrated experience following privacy and data security rules in the management of financial and personal client information
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software

The full-time Staff Clinical Social Worker for University Health Services Counseling Center will provide high quality, time- effective, evidence-based and culturally responsive clinical services, including: triage; emergency and crisis intervention services; referrals and evaluations; as well as individual and group counseling and psychotherapy. The incumbent will manage a caseload so as to serve the maximum number of students who are appropriate for services at the University Health Services Counseling Center; and will consult with and/or make timely and appropriate mental health referrals for students as needed. This is a hybrid position which includes in-person and tele-counseling/remote work, and unique schedule options.
Examples of Duties:
Provide high-quality, time-effective, evidence-based, culturally-responsive clinical services, including triage, emergency and crisis intervention, referral, as well as individual and group counseling and psychotherapy;
* Produce and maintain excellent and timely clinical records and participate in quality management activities, in accordance with University Health Services policy;
* Manage a clinical caseload so as to serve the maximum number of students who are appropriate for services at the UHS Counseling Center;

Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited Clinical Social Work Education (CSWE) program, with emphasis on clinical social work, is required. The candidate must be eligible for licensure as an Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.
A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience delivering evidence-based and culturally-responsive crisis intervention, evaluation, and treatment to young adults and/or adults is required. Experience working with underserved populations such as ethnic minorities, immigrant and refugee as well as first-generation populations, LGBTQ persons, or other diverse cultural groups is required. Preference will be given to candidates with interest in working with BIPOC students and communities. Proficiency in a second language other than English is preferred. Experience working in a college or university counseling center and/or experience providing services through the continuum of care (i.e. inpatient, partial hospital and outpatient) is preferred.
