The General Production Worker will engage in a variety of tasks throughout the year, adapting to the seasonal demands of agricultural production. In spring and summer, you will focus on inspecting and maintaining seed crops and managing seed inventory. The fall season is dedicated to harvesting and seed packaging, while winter involves cleaning, packaging, and shipping seeds to meet customer needs for the upcoming planting season.
Responsibilities
+ September-November: Receive and process trucks hauling crop for weighing and unloading.
+ Complete a wide range of harvest activities, including husk and sort operations.
+ Operate dryer to dry crop within prescribed safety, quality, and financial requirements.
+ Shell and store crop from bins in the dryer facility.
+ Supply the Conditioning department with a constant supply of seed and apply appropriate treatment.
+ November-March: Label, tag, bag, and palletize seed.
+ Enter inventory information into computer systems.
+ Stage seed for shipment in warehouse.
+ April-August: Retag in-house seed and re-bag returned seed.
+ Inspect and wash pro boxes to ensure cleanliness.

You may work either Sunday-Tuesday with 6 hours Wednesday morning or Thursday-Saturday with 6 hours Wednesday afternoon. Must be flexible with day or night shifts as required. The agricultural setting may appear dusty due to corn and insecticide dust used to protect seeds, but safety standards are strictly maintained.
