Working alongside Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, you play an important part in keeping cases moving forward and services on track. Additional knowledge, skills and abilities we're looking for: * Knowledge of community resources: Using familiarity with local supports and service providers to help connect people to appropriate resources that support employment and vocational rehabilitation goals. * Understanding of disability-related needs: Communicating respectfully and effectively with people who may experience physical, cognitive, mental health, or communication barriers, while supporting an inclusive and welcoming office environment. * Clear communication and relationship-building skills: Working collaboratively with vocational rehabilitation counselors, service providers, and vendors, while maintaining consistent and professional communication with the people you support. * Technical and systems skills: Learning and using case management and office systems to enter applications, track documentation, monitor authorizations, and maintain accurate case records. * Interviewing and explanation skills: Gathering information, asking clarifying questions, and explaining DVR services, eligibility requirements, and next steps in a way that is understandable and reassuring. * Professional judgment and problem-solving: Navigating questions, delays, or challenging situations with patience and consistency, and knowing when to elevate issues that may affect timelines or service delivery.
