Education & Experience Requirements:
Associate's degree or 60 college credits and three years experience working with children; OR
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience working with children.
Other Qualifications:
At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific State & child clearances and, if necessary, FBI).
Valid driver's license from employee's state of residence.

Nurse Aide Training Program
Christ The King Manor 4.3
DuBois, PA
Our 120-hour state-approved Nursing Assistant Training Program is specifically designed for nursing assistants who intend to work for Christ the King Manor. It prepares you for the federally mandated Nursing Assistant Certification exam while allowing you to work with older adults. Our program lasts 18 days, Monday through Friday from 7A-3P.
After completing the program and passing the state exam, our nurse assistants provide direct personal care, functional and restorative care for our residents. They also assist with other basic nursing procedures and vital documentation.
After completing the course and passing the state exam a $500 bonus will be granted to all employee.
Employee will receive another $500 bonus after a completion of 6 months after obtaining their NA certification and remaining employed with CTKM.
Qualifications
Completion of a Nurse Aide Training Program is required along with testing and remaining current on the PA registry. Factors we consider when choosing the very best nursing assistants include compassion, quality, customer service, dependability, safety, and working well with others.
ESSENTIAL NURSING ASSISTANT FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
1. Provides direct personal care for the residents
2. Provides functional and restorative care for residents
3. Performs all required documentation in a legible, accurate and timely manner
4. Uses aseptic techniques in all resident care in order to prevent the spread of disease and infection and wears protective clothing and devices when required and/or appropriate.
5. Performs all duties in a safe manner using proper body mechanics and seeks assistance as required by policy.
6. Performs and/or assists with basic nursing procedures, such as taking and noting vital signs, collecting specimens and other nursing procedures.
7. Maintains resident rights regarding confidentiality, dignity, privacy and all other aspects of the Resident Bill of Rights.
8. Requests appropriate supplies for resident care and follows proper procedures for cost reimbursement.
9. Assists licensed personnel in caring for the body after death.
10. Prepares residents for tests, x-rays, therapy programs and physician visits as assigned.
11. Maintains and cleans equipment, materials, utensils, rooms and closets following infection control policies and procedures. Changes bed linens and handles linens and clothing according to policies and procedures.
12. Displays a positive, pleasant and cooperative attitude with residents, families and supervisory staff.
13. Attends all in-service training sessions as required. A minimum of twelve (12) hours of in-service education is required annually.
14. Adheres to all Christ the King Manor regulations, policies and procedures, particularly those regarding safety and confidentiality.
Please note: At the completion of the NA Training Program, a full-time Nursing Assistant status at Christ the King Manor is expected for a set amount of time.
