As an expansion of Summit Health's Urology Department, we are seeking a BC/BE Urologist who is passionate about providing urologic services. Our team works closely with primary care and other medical and surgical specialties to provide excellent quality care to members of our community. The surgeon will establish a general practice in Bend and Redmond. As part of our team, you would be joining a well-established surgical practice with the opportunity to be mentored by multiple surgeons. Elective surgery is a component of the position, with outpatient surgeries performed in an ASC adjacent to the practice. Prepares patient for procedures providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxiety. Ability to operate / modify equipment and technical factors as needed. Ensures equipment is in acceptable conditions by conducting routine quality control checks. Follows department standards for reporting equipment malfunctions or problems. Replenishes and changes supplies in assigned area as needed. Demonstrates understanding of safety, health and morale needs of customers and co-workers. Other job duties as required Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements: 2 -4 years' experience preferred but not required. ARDMS, OBMI, and BLS are required. RVT certification preferred. Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Obtains and documents, patient history and relevant information. Ensures X-Ray room's cleanliness after exam and procedure. Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care. Prioritizes and organizes work assignments and adjusts priorities based on changing situations. Prepares patient for procedures providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety. Operates X-Ray and medical imaging equipment properly and safely. Experience with Power injectors preferred. Demonstrates awareness of Radiation Safety procedures for self and others. Prepares and assists in the administration of contrast materials. General Job functions: Demonstrates knowledge and compliance of safety, OSHA, and HIPPA regulations. The ability to perform daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual Quality Control. The ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Attend department meetings. Other job duties as required. Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements: 1-3 years' experience required. Graduated from an accredited Radiology program. Licensed by Oregon State DEP. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) BLS certification is required. IV certified preferred. Maintain current knowledge of RIS and PACS computer systems. The ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is required. Advanced computer skills including email, Microsoft applications and ability to comprehend and utilize Electronic Medical Record System, RIS and PACS Systems.
