The Athletic Trainer - Certified (ATC) - Sports Outreach role in the Sports Service Line provides athletic training services to our Community Outreach partners, as assigned. This includes travel to a variety of high school sports events, generally in the evenings and weekends. Coordinates care and treatment of the student athlete in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians and other health care providers, as needed.
This is a casual opportunity, Casual is defined as covering a minimum of two shifts/events per month. Primary coverage will be needed with the Lakeville and South Washington County School districts. We also have various contracts with local sports clubs for ATC coverage.
Travel to contracted high school to provide athletic training services on an as need basis to cover for events as signed up for and facilitated by Summit Orthopedics ATC Outreach Lead.

Provides athletic training coverage at athletic events sponsored by Summit Orthopedics.
Coordinate the clinical access of the injured athlete in an effective and appropriate manner.

Under the direction of the Practice Development Manager, the Clinic Operations Supervisor provides general administrative oversight and leadership for assigned physician teams. This is a full time role based at our Corporate Office in Woodbury, MN. Monday - Friday schedule of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Required training is in office with the ability to work from home once fully trained.
**This role will follow-up with the intent of collecting all delinquent unpaid insurance and patient account balances.
Primary job duties for the Patient Financial Services Coordinator:
Create payment arrangements for uninsured patients and patients on high-deductible plans for all physician visits prior to services.
Verify by phone, web, or in writing the prior authorization expectations as well as eligibility of the patients' insurance for the following medical encounters/procedures
MRIs-using decision tools and phone/internet when necessary
Work Comp, Auto, Med Legal and any other required referral clinic visits
Professional Fee for surgical procedures as well as facility fee for procedures performed at Summit locations
Obtain and enter pre-certification and/or prior authorization numbers into the registration fields and scan in Practice Management/EHR software.
Review and correct discrepancies in registration and insurance information and update in the Practice Management Software at time of authorization.
Assist patient with medical assistance and charity care applications, counsel patients on options such as care credit.
Maintain current knowledge regarding third-party and first-party payment procedures and regulations as well as preferred provider agreements.
Communicate professionally with patient, family members, co-workers and physicians.
Summit's hiring range for this position is $20.64 to $25.80 per hour. The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for the decontamination, preparation, sterilization, documentation, and distribution of surgical instrumentation and supplies used in the operating room. This position may also perform the duties of stocking supplies in pre and post-op areas.
This position is eligible for a $1,625 Sign On Bonus (amount pro-rated based on assigned FTE).
This is a part-time, 0.625 FTE opportunity that will be based at our Plymouth Surgery Center. Flexibility to float to other surgery centers as needed.
Schedule (10 hour shifts)
* Week 1: Tuesday, Friday
* Week 2: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
Nationally recognized Sterile Processing certification highly desired upon hire or must be obtained within 90 days of successful completion of educational/training program.
* Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments, medical supplies and equipment; inspects, assembles, wraps and sterilizes trays of instruments.
* Monitors biological and chemical wash solution to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and medical equipment.
* Sorts mismatched sets of instruments, trays and medical equipment and makes them available to sterile processing customers in a timely manner.
* Restocks, labels, and maintains inventory; submit requisitions; collects and distributes instruments, trays, crash carts, and facility medical equipment.
* Performs environmental maintenance duties and assists in maintaining inventory levels in sterile processing, the operating room, and in equipment storage areas.
* Verifies that equipment functions properly: completes requisitions for repair or replacement of surgical instrumentation; removes defective instrumentation from general service.
* Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
* Disposes of filled suction and trash containers.
* Documents all steps of the sterilization process accurately and legibly; maintains sterilization logs and organizes evidence of sterilization processes.
* Assists with maintaining established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, and quality improvement, safety, and environmental and infection control standards.
* Acts as staff resource in matters related to sterile processing.

As part of a team in a clinic or Orthopedic Urgent Care Walk-in setting, the Orthopedic Clinical Assistant will provide clinical support in the provision of quality orthopedic care and treatment of patients and perform assigned administrative duties. Under supervision, and as direct support to physicians and/or other providers, clinical duties may include rooming of patients, obtaining medical history information, preparation of patient for evaluation, fitting and dispensing of durable medical equipment, casting, splinting and other assigned procedures. This role communicates with and provides information to patients and other care team providers, handles updating and managing patient records, facilitates follow-up care for patients, and assists in completing required paperwork.
This is a full-time position based at our Woodbury (Woodlake) Campus working with a Foot and Ankle Physician and Team. Monday - Friday schedule of 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (schedule subject to change based on the needs of a team/clinic.) Must be flexible to float to other Summit locations as needed (Vadnais Heights, Eagan, River Falls, WI).
Typical duties include:
Monitor patient flow, room patients and obtain and record medical histories and prepare patient for evaluation and/or treatment.
Prepare required instruments and equipment for examinations. Clean and stock exam/procedure rooms, including instruments and equipment, between patient appointments.
Assist with casting, splinting, suture and staple removal, fitting and dispensing of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as appropriate, and as directed by provider.
Provide standardized patient education instructions verbal or written.
Schedule follow-up appointments and appointments for further evaluation, testing, as needed, verifying insurance coverage and patient demographics.
Refill prescriptions on behalf of ordering physician
Perform administrative duties, including manage patient charts to ensure accuracy and completion, sending and receiving patient medical records, obtaining lab and x-ray and other related reports, and completing and sending necessary paperwork.
Performs other duties as assigned.
