    The responsibility of a Fire Sprinkler Technician is to successfully lay out, fabricate, assemble, install fires sprinkler systems, as well as maintain piping systems, fixtures, sprinklers and industrial processing systems. * Install pipe systems and valves * Cut, thread, assemble and bond piping and tubes according to specifications * Modify, clean and maintain pipe systems, units and fittings * Remove and replace worn components * Follow blueprints to meet product specifications * Calculate material measurements to verify specifications * Mentor and coach Fire Sprinkler Fitter Apprentice's and Helpers on proper installation techniques * Ensure company provided vehicle is clean and well maintained in accordance with company policies. * Other duties may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: The qualifications listed below are representative of the elements required to perform the job successfully, however in some cases, an equivalent combination of Education, Training, Certifications and Experience may meet the job qualifications. Education, Training, Certifications: * HS Diploma or equivalent, required. * Advanced technical school training or related work experience, preferred. * Current Fire Sprinkler License, required. Experience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements: * 3-5 years' experience installing pipe systems and valves, required. 5+ years' experience, preferred. * Must be able to work alone and as part of a team. Basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, customer service skills, decision making skills, ability to multitask, ability to meet project schedules, ability to plan and organize, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to train other is required. Communication Skills: * Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers. Systems and Software Skills: * Ability to operate a computer, tablet and read electronic blueprints required. Experience with SalesForce and Microsoft Office is preferred.     UP TO $5K SIGN-ON BONUS The purpose of the Fire Alarm & Security Technician position is to install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and security systems, and other fire and life safety products with minimal supervision. * Knowledge of different manufactures clean agent and high-pressure suppression systems. * Appropriate use of required tools and test equipment such as multi-meter, megger, laptop to program, lifts, etc. to repair or replace fire alarm and suppression system components. * Comprehensive working knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards. * Programing and software knowledge with a variety of fire alarm systems that is used when removing or replacing components. * Troubleshoot to determine fault or faults to include ground faults with fire alarm systems. * Repair or replace damaged fire alarm components such as FACP, power supply, alarm-initiating devices, etc. * Safely follow and perform procedures to handle, remove and replace explosive actuators such as squibs and gas cartridge actuators. * Communicate with internal and external customers as well as offsite monitoring companies in a professional manner. * Required to be punctual to required work locations and complete scheduled projects in timely manner. * Use Field Service Lightning to track work orders, materials needed, time on job, etc. * Complete documentation on work orders. * Understand and follow SFS's Safety program, SDS book, Hazardous communication program, policies and procedures.
