POSITION SUMMARY Summit Utilities' Legal Department is seeking a dynamic and experienced legal executive to join our team as Vice President & Deputy General Counsel. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the company's litigation and corporate legal functions. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer (CLO), the Deputy General Counsel will be a strategic partner to the executive team and play a critical role in mentoring legal staff, leading legal initiatives, and supporting the organization's continued growth. Ideal candidates will bring significant law firm and in-house corporate experience, exemplary legal and leadership skills, and the ability to continuously adapt in a fast-paced environment. This individual will lead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of companywide safety, environmental, and technical training programs. The Director will foster a culture of operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and proactive safety across Summit's multi state natural gas distribution operations. This role is ideal for a strategic leader who excels in building collaborative teams, driving accountability, and advancing safety and environmental stewardship in a regulated utility environment. We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Environmental, Health, Safety and Training (EHS&T). This hybrid role will be based in one of our offices in Little Rock, Fayetteville, Maumelle, or Fort Smith, Arkansas; or Lawton, Oklahoma. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as a key member of the Operations Support leadership team, reporting directly to the VP of Operations Support. Lead the development and execution of companywide environmental, safety and technical training programs tailored to natural gas distribution operations. Ensure compliance with PHMSA, OSHA, EPA, and state-level environmental, safety and pipeline safety regulations. Oversee the Company's Safety and Health Management System (SHMS), ensuring it is effectively embedded across operations and aligned with industry's best practices and regulatory expectations. Oversee the Summit's technical training and Operator Qualification Program ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements and regulations. Oversee the Company's Contractor Compliance Program ensuring contractors and contract employees adhere to the Company's compliance and quality standards. Support the development and implementation of the Company's Pipeline Safety Management System (PSMS) in alignment with API RP 1173, including stakeholder engagement, risk management, and performance tracking. Lead the continued implementation and improvement of the Company's Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring integration with operational practices and compliance with ISO 14001 standards. Manage the Company's Net-zero Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission reduction goal, including tracking emissions, coordinating reduction initiatives, and reporting progress to executive leadership and external stakeholders. Oversee the development and maturation of technical and health & safety training programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and internal competency frameworks. Collaborate with Human Resources and Operations to maintain a robust Learning Management System (LMS) that supports technician progression, certification, and continuous learning. Monitor and report safety performance metrics (e.g., TRIR, DART, near-miss rates) to senior leadership. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental science, engineering, business administration, construction management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 10+ years of progressively responsible experience leading environmental, safety, and/or technical training programs within the utility, energy, or natural gas distribution industry. 6+ years of management or senior leadership experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams including environmental, safety, and training professionals in the utility, energy, or natural gas distribution industry. Will be assigned projects in support of CAD/GIS Department EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Requires a Vo-Tech/CAD/GIS/Drafting certificate or 60 credit hours in a related field from an accredited college or university. This position serves as a communications link between field personnel, corporate staff, and interconnecting pipelines. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE 5 years of experience in the natural gas industry, preferred. Experience in high pressure mechanical system operations, computer control system operation, and customer service in a technical field. Experience in natural gas or power industry preferred. Understanding of valve operations, pressure, temperature, and flow measurement a plus. Knowledge of dynamics of compressible gases/fluids, compression, DOT regulations. SCADA systems, nominations, scheduling, and pipeline operations are a definite plus. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Knowledge of gas distribution and transmission systems Excellent communication, judgment, and analytical skills. Strong background in the use of computer systems and databases & familiarity with computer control system operations and remote communications technology. Experience with Microsoft Excel. Ability to multitask. Make critical decisions while working in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of the gas system, suppliers, contracts, and operation procedures is required. Must be able to make decisions quickly and accurately, be available on call and understand problems and act. Gas Controller must also possess the ability to deal with irate contractors, producers, gas brokers, and production operators in a professional manner. Able to evaluate and revision Standard Operating Procedures and Control Room Management. POSITION SUMMARY This STAR Enterprise Business Analyst role will be a 12-month position that will rotate through IT and four major Business Areas - Customer Experience (SAP-ISU/C4C), Finance (S/4HANA/FICO), Field Services (S/4HANA/FSM), and Enterprise Asset Management & Supply Chain Management (S/4HANA/EAM/SCM) - with placement within the organization upon successful completion of the program. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the enterprise vision for Digital Assets & AI, integrating GIS, asset data, and data engineering to improve reliability, affordability, and decision-making. Establish and maintain a comprehensive enterprise data catalog and governance framework to improve data quality, accessibility, and alignment across business functions. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Engineering, GIS, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field required; advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in data, GIS, or digital transformation leadership roles; utility, energy, or infrastructure industry experience preferred. Proven experience deploying AI, automation, and data modernization initiatives with measurable operational or financial outcomes. Experience designing and implementing comprehensive data strategy and catalog, including governance and stewardship best practices. Strong understanding of AI program management, including project lifecycle definition, value measurement, and change adoption. The Pipeline Safety Compliance Specialist will be responsible for activities related to extracting, organizing, analyzing and presenting Field Management System data in SAP, FSM, Cayenta, WOFA, SOFA, Reporting Server within state and federal compliance audits. Key responsibilities include compiling and validating compliance records, assisting with regulatory reporting, and supporting state and federal inspections. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Compile, review, and validate compliance records for integrity related purposes using systems such as SAP, FSM, Cayenta, WOFA, SOFA, and Reporting Server to support regulatory audits Identify, organize, communicate and prioritize actionable insights derived from stakeholder feedback, audit findings, and operational reports. Monitor and interpret federal and state Pipeline Safety regulations and proposed changes. Identify and recommend process improvements, communicating effectively with management. Standardize compliance data formats for equipment records, maintenance plans, and reporting. Create and prioritize action item lists from various feedback sources for leadership review.
