The Opportunity
Chicago Public Media, home to WBEZ and the Chicago Sun-Times, is looking for a versatile, experienced reporter to cover the Illinois Legislature. They will serve both the local WBEZ and Sun-Times audience, as well as provide daily news and enterprise feature work for the nine NPR member stations across Illinois as part of Illinois Public Radio.
The reporter will be based in Springfield, working from the Capitol, but will occasionally spend time reporting from Chicago and collaborating with other reporters. We're looking for a curious, aggressive and skillful writer who is equally adept at both quick turn breaking news articles and spots, and developing in-depth features.
This team player is responsible for reporting at a pace that serves the daily habits of a loyal and engaged broadcast audience and communicates with members of their CPM team and the stations across Illinois. This reporter will also be expected to provide special coverage to statewide stations, when applicable.
The ideal candidate is a resourceful journalist who can spot trends and make sharp connections with seemingly straightforward news stories, providing insight that gives our audience the context they need to have a deeper understanding of the news. We are looking for a reporter who has a keen eye for reporting that is distinctive from the competition and has a good nose for scoops.
Qualifications
Understanding of state and local government
Ability to write and produce stories at a daily pace with skill, accuracy and insight
Ability to handle breaking news under deadline pressure while balancing enterprise stories
Demonstrated passion for news and a delight in unearthing scoops, advancing stories, or identifying creative angles when covering key stories in Chicago's and Illinois' daily news cycle
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with editors, producers and reporters across the newsroom in service of shared excellence
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to cultivate strong relationships with colleagues, both at Chicago Public Media and across the Illinois Public Radio system, and sources.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with an editor and other colleagues at WBEZ and the Chicago Sun-Times to research, pitch, conceptualize, report and produce stories of the highest caliber and resonance
Report, write and produce stories for broadcast and digital platforms, including daily news items, feature stories, projects, podcasts, on-air discussions and live events
Generate story and project ideas for multiple platforms, broadcast and digital
Participate in special projects and perform other station duties as necessary
Work collaboratively with editorial colleagues throughout the organization- in the service of impact, efficiency, and ultimately, service of our audience and mission
Develop big-picture approaches to covering issues and ideas, while also executing the many small tasks involved in reporting
Represent Chicago Public Media to internal and external audiences, including staff and board meetings, public events, etc.

Compensation
The expected pay range for this position is $61,200 to $67,500 per ANNUM.

Perform MRI exams for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury, in accordance with departmental standards, policies and procedures
Prepare patients for exam: obtain and record history, explain procedures, position patients and ensure their comfort
Review MRI images to ensure optimum quality
Assist with patient/family participation in post-procedural care for all age groups and provide resource information, as directed
What you will need:
License: ARRT- MR
Education: Certification or Associate's degree in Radiology from an accredited program
Certification: CPR required
Experience: Previous MRI Technologist experience required
Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills required

We are seeking a high-impact Digital Account Executive - National/Enterprise Sales to join our dynamic, remote National Sales team. Alighed with New York City and Chicago (full-time remote with occasional travel), you will drive net-new revenue and account growth from national brands, agencies, and multi-location enterprises in high-growth verticals such as Healthcare, CPG, Entertainment, Finance, Multi-Location Retail, Home Services, Education, and Auto Aftermarket.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect, pitch, and close national advertisers and agency partners via cold calling, networking, industry events, and strategic outreach to consistently meet/exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Build consultative relationships with C-level executives, media planners/buyers, and VP+ decision-makers to uncover needs and craft data-driven, multi-platform campaigns.
Sell the full USA TODAY NETWORK and LocaliQ portfolio: high-impact display, video (pre-roll, OTT, streaming), native, branded content, social amplification, search (SEM/SEO), email, programmatic, reputation management, event sponsorships, and custom experiential solutions.
Develop compelling proposals, RFPs, and presentations that demonstrate clear ROI, leveraging internal strategy, creative, ad ops, analytics, and client success teams.
Manage pipeline, negotiations, upsells, renewals, and post-sale execution to ensure long-term commitments, client satisfaction, and KPI attainment.
Synthesize client insights to create customized account strategies and plans; accurately forecast revenue using Salesforce.
Stay ahead of digital media trends, competitive landscape, ad technologies, and industry innovations.
Represent USA Today Co./USA TODAY NETWORK at industry events and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver premium, integrated solutions.
Qualifications
5+ years of digital media/advertising sales experience with a proven track record of hitting/exceeding quota through net-new business development and account growth.
Deep expertise in high-impact formats (display, video, native, branded content, off-platform social, programmatic, OTT, event sponsorships) and digital marketing solutions (SEM, SEO, social, reputation management).
Established relationships with national holding company agencies (e.g., GroupM, Publicis, Omnicom) strongly preferred.
Vertical expertise in Healthcare, CPG, Entertainment, Finance, Multi-Location Retail, Home Services, Education, or Auto Aftermarket is a plus.
B2B hunter mentality with no-fear prospecting, cold calling, and networking; demonstrated ability to lead productive sales/strategy meetings with large, multi-location enterprises.
Exceptional presentation, negotiation, closing, influencing, and communication skills; ability to sell premium value over price.
Well-crafted sales process/methodology; proficient in Salesforce CRM, MediaRadar, Winmo, SellerCrowd, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Bachelor's degree required.
Ethical, organized, resourceful, and initiative-driven with a history of innovation, goal achievement, and maintaining a satisfied account base.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 (DOE; reflective of market, education, skills, certifications, and experience). Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable.
