Job Summary: As a Diesel Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to work independently and in a team environment servicing and repairing diesel engines, tractors, and trailers. The Diesel Mechanic position consists of performing regular preventative maintenance and major/minor repairs to a delivery vehicle fleet and ensure the equipment operates safely and properly. The position also includes troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, ignition, pneumatic systems, diesel, and gas engines. Input work orders, close orders, and input parts cost on system. • Perform welding and fabrication on equipment as needed. • Make emergency field repairs to trucks as needed. • Clean and keep inventory of parts rooms.
