Duties and Responsibilities: Use equipment, depending on the jobsite/assignment Move, load, or unload materials Assist in light construction if necessary Perform general site clean-up - remove debris and trash from work site Some specialized tasks may require on-the job training Operates trucks of various sizes for loading, hauling, and unloading equipment, materials, and supplies. Operates construction and power equipment, including backhoes, man-lifts, dump trucks, snowplows, road graders, front-end loaders, hydraulic excavators, and skid steers. Uses small equipment and tools such as jackhammers, mowers, and brush chippers. Conducts routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, reporting defects or needed repairs to the supervisor. Cleans and maintains equipment.
