Responsibilities include: As a key member of the Operations Team, the Product development Manager will orchestrate the entire product development process, working across R&D, engineering, marketing, and operations to deliver exceptional products. Key responsibilities include: Product Innovation and Design: Lead the design and develop new products or improve existing ones, working closely with product management teams to meet customer needs. Project Leadership: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources throughout the product development process, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope. Creative Problem Solving: Tackle challenges that arise during the development process with creative and innovative thinking to find effective solutions. Prototyping: Create detailed product element designs using CAD software (Solidworks/AutoCAD) and lead development of prototypes for testing and evaluation. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, manufacturing, and R&D, to ensure element designs are feasible, meet quality standards, and market-ready. Technical Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of product specifications, production instructions, and testing results to ensure compliance with customer specifications. Proficiency with 3D modeling utilizing Solidworks or AutoCAD. A strong technical foundation in product development with the ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams. Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities. Required Skills and Qualifications: Candidates must hold at minimum a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, chemical, product design, or a related field). Membranes industry experience is highly desirable. Proficiency with 3D modeling utilizing Solidworks or AutoCAD. A strong technical foundation in product development with the ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams. Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities. Schedule, Travel, Compensation, and Location: This is a full-time position in Woburn, MA. A flexible hybrid work-from-home/on-site model is permitted. CAD and design work can be done remotely, with an on-site presence required for hands-on prototyping, design meetings, and team collaboration. This position will report directly to the VP of Operations. Up to 25% domestic and international travel is expected to support development and scale up work at external manufacturers. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and include a benefits package and company equity.
