Responsible to improve, maintain and repair all equipment used in manufacturing and distribution functions by troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues. Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures while ensuring the work performed is in accordance with relevant codes. HVAC Technician: must possess and maintain a State of Michigan Mechanical Contractor license which includes a minimum of specific work classifications in 31 Limited Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Service and Unlimited Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Service as defined by the Michigan State Bureau of Construction Codes, Mechanical Division, or a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) field, approved by leadership.

The Industrial Maintenance Technician position is a highly skilled role responsible for leading and performing complex maintenance activities, troubleshooting advanced equipment issues, and training maintenance technicians. This role ensures equipment uptime and reliability, minimizing production downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. This position has a work schedule of Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 10:30pm (with occasional overtime) and reports onsite to the AMSOIL Center located in Superior, Wisconsin. Since this is a 2nd shift position it will include a $2 per hour shift differential. After-Hours Service: Participate in a call rotation schedule with compensation for on-call duty and time and a half for after-hours emergency calls. Customer Interaction: Provide professional advice and answers to customer questions to ensure safety and comfort. Company Vehicle: Safely operate and maintain a clean, stocked work van. Apprentice Oversight: Mentor and oversee apprentice technicians on job sites. Additional Responsibilities: Equipment Installation: Install compressors, boilers, furnaces, receivers, condensers, pumps, valves, controls, and ductwork. Tool Operation: Use and maintain hand and power tools safely. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of time, labor, and materials, and submit paperwork timely. Customer Consultation: Advise on upgrades, additions, or replacements from Sandri's product lines. Professional Development: Maintain licenses and certifications; achieve NORA Bronze certification within one year. Team Participation: Engage in meetings, training sessions, and continuing education activities. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Licenses: Valid driver's license in good standing required. Experience: 3+ years in HVAC preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree or vocational certificate and MA Oil Burner license. Candidates without these will be hired as apprentices and must meet requirements within one year. Skills: Proficiency in arithmetic calculations for HVAC/R equipment. Mechanical ability and HVAC trade knowledge. Safe operation of tools and accurate reading of gauges and diagnostic equipment. Physical Demands: Ability to work in variable conditions and locations. Exposure to machinery, heat, humidity, dust, fumes, gases, and cold. Mobility to inspect customer premises, climb stairs, and work from heights. Safe operation of service vehicle. Effective communication skills. Constant use of computers, tablets, tools, and equipment. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull weights up to 75 pounds; assist with heavier weights.
