What We're Looking For… Currently, we are seeking a full-time Host/Hostess to join our team at The Palm Grill! This person will coordinate and delegate the duties of the dining room staff at The Palm Grill in order to provide service to every customer in an effective and sanitary manner while upholding the Shell Point mission. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule and the ability work 10:00am-7:30pm. At least one year of previous wait staff and/or hosting experience preferred.

Seeking a Part-Time Host/Hostess to meet the dining needs of our residents. Flexible schedule, weekends and somd holidays required. The Host/Hostess Is responsible for overseeing the meal service to residents, families and guests. Ensures quality customer service is provided by designated community staff that will include Care Partners, Medications Aides (CMAs, QMAPs) and other assigned staff. In addition, the Host/Hostess will ensure that the meal service areas are maintained and cleaned on a per shift basis. This will be accomplished by providing delegation to assigned Health Service staff. * Assign sections and tables to Health Services staff, to ensure all residents and guests are served in a timely manner. * Oversees the cleaning and preparation of the dining room and tables ensuring they are set in restaurant style dining appearance, including the resetting of all chairs. * Resets table, linens and ensures condiments are filled and available. * ensures drink station and/or salad bar are set according to department policies and procedures. * Takes orders for meals and ensures Health Services staff take orders from residents using excellent customer service skills. * Ensures drinks are filled according to residents / guests requests and are kept filled as needed. * Serves and oversees the service of residents and guests to ensure their choices are met. * Manages all guest reservations, if necessary, makes sure the Private Dining Room is cleaned and set for reservations. * Ensures that all cleaning checklists and cleaning responsibilities are completed per community policies and procedures. * Ensures all room trays are set up and delivered as needed. * Maintains confidentiality of residents personal information in and out of the community and protects and supports residents rights. * Maintains a professional appearance by wearing clean, required uniform and a demeanor that encourages a positive nurturing environment for the residents, families, vendors, and guests. * Maintains a positive customer service environment and practices honesty and integrity in all aspects of performance. * Performs other duties as assigned. $4,000 Sign On Bonus Job Summary/Overall Objectives This position is responsible for both the front and back of the house meal service processes to include menu selection, meal ticket processing, ADT's, and tray delivery and collection while using excellent customer service skills. This position is a direct line of communication to nursing and family members. Essential Job Functions Patient Services (Front of the House) Introduces the menu process via the menu platform Uses the spoken menu guidelines to obtain menu selections electronically Navigates patient profile and adheres to diet order guidelines, fluid restrictions, and preferences Utilizes family and nursing when appropriate Calls patients in isolation rooms as able Delivers and collects trays at meal service; helps with tray set up as appropriate Delivers TF's to units Orders and delivers floor stock to patient units. Supports patient satisfaction initiatives Patient Services (Back of the House) Answers phones and handles call requests or issues; notifies supervisor if needed Processes meal tickets for meal service Prints tally reports for meal service Prints TF labels Prints paper menus for behavioral health; enters as needed Completes department spreadsheet statistics Utilizes downtime procedures in emergency situations Stocks supplies in kitchen area as assigned. Regulatory/Sanitation Practices universal precautions for menu selection and tray service; adheres to infection control guidelines for isolation patients Uses 2 patient identifiers when entering room Checks and handles expiration dates of TF's and pantry items Completes daily cleaning assignments as assigned Service Excellence Performs excellent customer service skills when entering a nursing unit and patient room Communicates directly with nursing unit staff Handles service recovery immediately and involves supervisor as needed Receives and distributes all messages in a timely manner Identifies and refers patients requiring further nutrition intervention to the dietitian Other duties as assigned. Competency and Experience [Knowledge, Skills and Abilities] Required Qualifications/Experience High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education. One (1) to two (2) years of experience in customer service, food service, retail, nutrition, or hospitality. CONRAD'S Eat Drink Local is looking for a host/hostess to add to our team. We are a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant and operate three event rooms within our doors. A host/hostess presents a positive first impression of our restaurant's friendliness, excellent service and high standards. They are the Director of first and last impressions. To succeed in this role, you must be able to carry a natural conversation with guests without sounding scripted of intrusive. Additionally, the host/hostess care for our guests but preforming light housekeeping duties such as, but not limited to, bussing tables, cleaning menus, and doors. As a member of our team, the host/hostess may also answer the phones and assist in taking ToGo orders to vehicles. Availability must include nights and weekends.
