Department Overview The IT Software Development team is responsible for designing, building, testing, and maintaining software systems that support an organization's internal operations or external products. Position Responsibilities Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of internal software applications. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs. Preferred Qualifications + Master's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline + Experience with one or more of the following areas: + Leading grid modernization and digitalization initiatives + Experience with asset management, including maintenance strategies, lifecycle planning, and risk assessments. + Experience with utility planning, engineering, and execution + Demonstrated ability to develop and execute enterprise-level roadmaps aligned with long-term grid transformation strategies and clean energy goals. + Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with internal stakeholders (e.g., engineering, IT) and external partners. + Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts and deliver technical presentations to both a technical and non-technical audience, including external settings. + Work effectively in areas where processes are not clearly defined, self-starter. + Stay current with relevant technology and innovation. + Strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning. Additional Information + This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
