About the Role
Suntec Concrete is hiring a site-based HR Generalist to support our field workforce and project leadership team. This position will be responsible for daily manpower tracking (headcount reporting), new hire orientation/onboarding, and maintaining accurate HR records in a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, comfortable working on a jobsite, and Excel-savvy.
Key Responsibilities
Track and report daily manpower/headcount (how many workers are on-site, by crew/foreman/trade as needed).
Maintain an accurate jobsite workforce roster (names, roles, start dates, assigned crew, etc.).
Collect and verify daily updates from superintendents/foremen (new starts, absences, transfers, terminations).
Prepare weekly manpower summaries and workforce reports for project leadership/corporate HR.
Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation (jobsite policies, expectations, required paperwork, and onboarding steps).
Ensure completion of onboarding documentation and required acknowledgments (as applicable).
Assist with jobsite access steps when needed (badge requests, posting requirements, coordination with site admin/safety).
Support employees and field leaders with general HR questions and HR processes.
Maintain confidential employee files and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
Use Excel to build and update trackers and reports (filters, formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
Required Qualifications
2+ years experience in HR, HR Coordinator, or HR Generalist role (construction/field-based experience preferred).
Experience conducting new hire onboarding/orientation.
Strong ability to handle frequent workforce changes and high-volume tracking.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (spreadsheets, formulas, sorting/filtering, lookups; pivot tables a plus).
Strong communication and professionalism with both field employees and leadership.
High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work on-site in a construction environment and wear required PPE.
Preferred Qualifications
Construction industry experience supporting craft/trade labor.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Familiarity with HRIS or timekeeping systems.
Work Environment
This role is based on an active construction site and will work out of a job trailer/office space. May require early mornings and occasional overtime depending on project needs.

Minimum Job Requirements

Job Summary
The Project Scheduler will provide technical assistance in creating and updating CPM schedules at all phases of each project throughout their duration, from conceptual to close‐out. You will be Sundt Construction's in‐ house scheduling expert, including coordinating the CPM schedule creation and updating tasks directly with the project superintendent. The Project Scheduler produces and delivers various reports from the CPM schedule to the project team and may supervise one or more Project Scheduler assistants. The Project Scheduler position includes 2 steps based on experience in the function which are as follows:- Project Scheduler I - 3‐5 years CPM scheduling experience in similar types of construction.- Project Scheduler, Sr. - 5+ years CPM scheduling experience in similar types of construction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assists in the development of claims by providing analysis of project CPM schedule performance.
2. Assists the Project Superintendent with the incorporation into the CPM schedule the effects form design conflicts and clarifications.
3. Assists the project superintendent with the management of the CPM schedule for the successful execution of the work, including the coordination of the means and methods, manpower, equipment and material resources required to accomplish this goal.
4. Conducts project CPM schedule review meetings at each of proposal, baseline and update phases.
5. Creates the baseline schedule based on logic and sequence information provided by the project superintendent.
6. Develops proposal phase CPM schedules from project information provided by the estimating team and historical database.
7. Produces a final as-built CPM schedule at the completion of each project.
8. Provides reports each month to the general manager indicating the status of the CPM schedule for each project.
9. Regularly updates and maintains the historical CPM schedule database.
10. Revises each project CPM schedule on a weekly basis from reports completed by the project superintendent.
Minimum Job Requirements
1. Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills are essential.

Job Summary
Responsible for providing leadership and management to assigned projects in a safe, profitable, and timely manner. Manages the work in a manner consistent with standards of quality and integrity. Participates as requested in the marketing, estimating, bidding, and contract negotiation phases of the projects assigned. Primary function is to serve as champion for the execution of the work ? preconstruction (when assigned) and construction. Key Responsibilities
1. Champions the orderly, timely transition of projects from the estimating phase to the field. This transition shall include project review meetings, which encompass a review of contract requirements, general conditions, schedules, budgets, subcontracts, and purchase order agreements.
2. Completes close-out requirements and punch lists in a timely manner. Manages warranty callbacks quickly to maintain owner/client relationships.
3. Coordinates with the Project Superintendent the means and methods required for the successful and profitable execution of the work. Reviews and monitors manpower, equipment, and material resources to accomplish this goal.
4. Establishes the project charter and a comprehensive project management plan (PMP) including the project scope management plan, procurement plan, environmental plan, time management plan, financial plan, quality management and safety plans and risk management plan to ensure successful project execution. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the change management process.
5. Has overall responsibility for project success, including profitability, safety, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction as well as responsibility for personnel decisions that impact the project. Plans, acquires, reviews, develops and manages the project
6. Manages all billings to ensure timely submission of payment applications and collection of payments from the owner in order to maintain a positive cash flow position. Manages the overall payment process and follows all prompt pay laws with the subcontractors.
7. Manages the development of the overall CPM schedule and assures coordination with the Project Superintendent and the procurement schedule with the Project Engineer. Ensures that as many levels of detailed schedules are prepared and distributed as required to support the project schedule. Pays special attention to prevention and documentation of delays or changes. Ensures that the Lean process is effectively utilized for all scheduling activities.
8. Participates in preparation and review of estimates with attention to the following: adherence to cost control system, equipment requirements and utilization, constructability, formwork, materials, manpower, general conditions, schedule, insurance, etc.
9. Participates in the business development process including client contacts, relationships, proposals, presentations, and negotiations for selected projects.
10. Prevents claims, identify potential claims, quantify, mitigate/resolve the effects of those that do occur on a timely basis.
11. Responsible for the preparation of Monthly Progress Report including accurate cost projections.
12. Responsible for the timely preparation and execution of purchase order agreements and subcontracts with respect to insurance certificates, bonds, and the appropriate lien waivers.
13. Responsible for understanding and administering prime contract terms and conditions, contract documents, subcontract agreements, purchase order agreements, insurance, etc. Oversees and ensures all the processes involved in budgeting and controlling costs so that the project can be completed within the approved budget. Demonstrates business acumen within area of responsibility.
14. Reviews, negotiates, and executes all change orders, supplements, and cost control budget adjustments.

* Evaluates and modifies as necessary, schedules and self-performed work procedures to meet schedule milestones and financial goals.
* Negotiates owner and subcontractor change orders and manages the resulting cost and profit impact.
* Controls the payment of job costs based on document review and approval and coordinates with the job cost accountant for payments and lien releases. Participates in monthly job cost reviews to declare project status.
* Attends and documents owner and other coordination meetings.
* Coordinates all final close out procedures for the project including as-built drawing, punch lists, final billing, occupancy permit, owner acceptance, project manuals, warranty letters, subcontractor close out, letter of substantial completion, and letter of recommendation.
* Participates in the post completion project review and provides Estimating with information for their database.
* Increases project profitability and promotes Layton objectives and goals.
* Directs the organization and preparation of all project documents for storage.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction related field or equivalent.
